Blockbuster Video Video Games 30% Off

I was at the Fredericton, New Brunswick BBV last night and they had posters up saying "30% off of all retail priced games". So, anything but used seems fair game...but I would guess it is only for the older systems (as in not Wii or PS3) though I didn't ask. So, $9.99 games would be 6 bucks !! My BBV has a pretty poor selection of new games but they do have new Yoshi's Island for $33.00, making it like 10 bucks cheaper, very cool : )
So, get on down there...

Correction: I asked for the specifics of the deal and the guy told me its 30% off of any retail priced game that is $39.99 or less. So, that does exclude all Wii/PS3 games (all 360 games too?), but a nice deal nonetheless.

Also, I highly doubt it, but BBV does price match (I think) so, does anyone think it'd be possible to do a price match and then do this 30% of deal? hmm, probably not..

We don't have any GameRushes in Fredericton, just BBVs so the deal is Blockbuster Video only as far as I know. The signs just say "limited time only" and "save money this holiday season" etc. Also dipsetrenegade, I was wrong about the price BBV has it for 27.99 (not including 30% off!). So the game would be like 19.60 after the deal's discount, very nice
 
Thanks for posting this, Arcturian. I was wondering why Sega Genesis Collection for PS2 rang up so much cheaper than the sticker price last week. (It rocks, BTW!) I went back today and grabbed Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 and Godfather for Xbox, and Mega Man X Collection for PS2. (I didn't even know an MMX Collection existed!)

BTW, Yoshi's Island was $39.99 at my Blockbuster (BEFORE the 30% off discount). :( All of the DS games at my location were priced like ass. :\
 
you might want to specify that this is Canada, Arcturian, people see this on the front page so you need to let them know (btw Gamerush is a US thing)
 
I don't know how many there are, but I know my local Blockbuster in Toronto has a Gamerush section. And they did have the 30% off deal.
 
seems to be a nation-wide deal. I got Metroid Prime (GC) for $10 after 30% off. Pretty hot considering it was brand new. Located in Edmonton, AB btw..
 
Finally dragged myself to a BBV and managed to snag Drakengard 2 for 11.99. Just in case people were wondering, the 40% off deal is still on. :bouncy:
 
Is this deal still going on this week? I wouldn't mind picking up Elite Beat Agents, and Castlevania: PoR for the DS, especially with that kind of discount.

The 30% off all games $39.99 and under is over, but there is now a 40% off all games $29.99 and under deal going on.

I grabbed Namco 50th Anniversary today.
