I don't know if there's been a thread like this before but anybody here up for a post your PC thread? I know a lot of you have some sweet computers so they must look cool too.

I'll post mine tomorrow... I can't find our camera at the moment.

My PC has a shitty aluminum case. I made it to play games, not to 'rice out' as it were.

Specs are in the sig with a 20.1" widescreen and a 19" monitors.

Oh yea, and the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speaker system.
But fried rice is sooooo good. How can you not like it... not even a little?

Now I want eggrolls... fucker.

My PSU has blue LEDs inside it with a clear fan. My motherboard has red LEDs on the bottom.

Those were things I found out after I bought them. I'm really glad I don't have a window or anything. All that light would make it a bitch to sleep.

you'd think i'd learn a lesson from the "post your pic" thread, not to be the first one to post a picture... but here

boring, messy desk atm, shitty camera and lighting... but there you go

He said PC. Get that shit outta here.

...j/k :)

Not really, leave. Now.

My PC doesn't look anything all that special. Just a standard Dell E510 case (generic pic). It's really nothing worth taking photos of. I'm much more happy about what on the interior of the case after some upgrades.

Here's the specs:

- Pentium 4 3.4 GHz w/HT
- 2GB DDR2 Ram
- 160 GB hard-drive (7,200 RPM)
- 200 GB hard-drive (7,200 RPM)*
- EVGA 7600 GT*
- Auzen Tech X Mystique sound card*
- DVD-rom drive
- DVD+RW drive (Dual layer)
- 520W OCZ Powerstream PSU*
- 4 port USB 2.0 add-on card*
- extra 80mm fan case*

Accessories/peripherals:
- 17" Dell E176FP LCD monitor
- Logitech G15 keyboard*
- Razer Copperhead mouse (blue)*
- Silver Icemat pad*
- Logitech X-530 speakers*
- Dell AIO 924 Printer

* - upgraded after purchase

I didn't plan on doing so many upgrades when I first got it, but thanks to some decent deals I was able to get most of the stuff for pretty cheap. The $20 Google Checkout promo at Buy.com (along with their surprisingly decent prices to begin with) helped reduce the cost of a lot of the accessories. The Razer went from its retail $80 to $33 or so. The most expensive upgrade was the PSU and I got that for about $90.

Is it the greatest PC in the world? No, but should last me for quite some time. I'm pretty damn pleased with it.

I have a 4ish year old Dell which I've been upgrading to keep up with the times.

- P4 2.53 GhZ
- 1 Gig RAM
- 64 MB NVidia GeForce 6600
- 120 GB Hard Drive
- 80 GB Hard Drive
- DVD-ROM Drive
- CD-RW Drive
- Some Altec Lansing Speakers and Sound Card
- 17" Kogi Flatscreen LCD (which is still working perfectly after 4 years, go figure)
- Logitech (not sure what model) mouse
- Standard Dell Quietkey Keyboard
- No Printer (had one, but I get free printing at work/university)

It's still Ok for gaming, I can run the stuff I want to play on here, but it's starting to wane on old stuff.

I also use a 1 year old 15" Apple Powerbook, which has nearly identical specs, but I use it for audio/video editing and very minor gaming (Civ IV mostly),

I'm planning on upgrading to a Mac Pro desktop (if I can get Windows/Mac OS on the same computer at that time). My gf and I will split the cost, but it's still about $2k a piece, but the machine is a beast.

I don't know, but seeing SlaughterX's sweet setup made it worth it.

Heh, let me add another Mac to the fire, But don't worry Windows is alive and well on the other side.

20" Imac

I've got updated pics as of Jan. 08 in my sig... I'll take new pics in may when I finally get my new computer speakers

This is before I stuck a double slot 8800GTS and moved the HD to the lower cage. The case is Antec P180 v 1.1

This is how the backside looks like.

I saw this and was about to say that... hey, I made a thread like that a long time ago and not many people were for it. And then I realized.. it was my thread.

Ironically, I never took a pic of my set up... I should take one but damn, my set up is so ancient compared to some the sets here.:whistle2:|

My desk is way too messy...maybe I should clean my desk and transform my optimus prime into robot mode because he is in truck mode now, before taking a picture...

He used the Search feature. Too bad we don't have a karma system. I'd give whoever bumped the thread some love. ;)

I don't have any pics of my current setup, but I'll list it all out the boring way.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Nvidia GeForce 7900 GT (256mb)
3gig RAM
260gb internal HD
500gb MyBook
16x BenQ DVD-RW Drive
48x Sony DVD Drive
Built-In 12-in-1 Card Reader

Logitech G5 laser mouse
Logitech G11 Keyboard
Logitech 5.1 Surround PC speakers
(not sure of the exact model, they look like the X-540 but without the control pod)

Sceptre X22WG-Gamer (22in widescreen HD monitor)
Sceptre X20G-Naga3 (20in widescreen monitor)

The search thing is junk, especially with finding stuff from what... 2 years ago?

Man, don't you love that itty bitty power supply thing at the bottom?
That took me like an hour to work with.

Good job on the wiring though, I couldn't manage to close the back door with all my cables sticking out.

2.20 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
Radeon X1950 PRO (256MB)
2 GB RAM
Microsoft Optical mouse ($20)
Fragmat WoW mousepad (thanks to WoW Insider)
Logitech keyboard ($20)
17" Hanns-G LCD monitor (not widescreen)

It'll probably run most of the games I want to play just fine. SC2, CoH, Mythos, Battlefield Heroes,... I'm already owning most of everyone in TF2.

I had the wiring very well hidden... but when my first PS died and I replaced with this Corsair, I just didn't bother re-hiding most of the wiring. Way too much work.

Anyway, here's the PC from the side.

From the front... dirty as hell as you can see. It's a bitch to clean these vents and I have't done it in a year.

Here's what it's hooked up to (32" 720p LCD, 7.1 Onkyo system).

Side cover off... the wiring is really bad due to the cold cathodes.

Here's with the cold cathodes on.

Here it is in the dark.. a little bright, as you can see. Luckily, the cathodes can be turned off.

Heh you could have a P2, 256 MB of RAM, and a 10 GB HD in there and the glow would still make it seem powerful and intimidating.
I need to take a picture of my PC just to show off my hilariously huge heatsink. (Tuniq Tower)
Haha, I have that heatsink in my other PC, it's so huge and heavy that I actually bent a large paper clip and used it to hook the heatsink to the case for weight support.

I got it because I was THIS close to snapping my motherboard in half with Intel's push pin style heatsink. Gotta love screws.

It's great though, I'm running a $120 CPU at 3.0Ghz and when I get a dual core, I can use the same monster heatsink to overclock/keep cool.
I obviously didn't build it, but here's what the inside of an XPS 630i looks like, just added the PCI-E soundcard.
You didn't get the H2C cooling system, I take it? Lucky you. I saw one last year in the dorms and the guy hated it because it took up so much room and wasn't that great of a cooler.

BTW, how long are those 8800GTs? I want to get one my I can't find anything on how long they are... I'm afraid they won't fit my case.

As far as I know, the GT isn't nearly the beast that the GTX or Ultra is.

The Ultra is fucking ridonkulous. Like, when you actually see that shit IRL, its an experience.

2 8800gts in SLI beat a single Ultra.

and the 9800gtx is faster then an ultra.

9800gx2 is the fastest.

Ive got:

AMD Athlon X2 6400+ Black Edition
EVGA 8800GT Superclocked
4 gigs of Corsair XMS
Antec P180
G15 Keyboard
G7 Mouse
19" Samsung Widescreen.

gotta order the rest of my parts and put it together, all i have is the case and power supply right now, about a week and a half or so and it'll be done

bread's done
