We should all get together and open up our own store.:)

Chances are, GameStop would trying buying us out like they did with all of the other companies. :-|

That would be an interesting idea though ;) Rolento is planning on setting up a game tournament sometime too (primarily for fighting games).

Our arcades here ain't too hot either... there's Gameworks at the Sawgrass Mills Mall and the Boomers in Hollywood but they havent updated their games in a long time... Gameworks does still have its Mr. Driller arcade unit, first place I've ever played that :D

I've barely had time to even set anything up, but hopefully once summer comes rolling along I'll have the tourney set to go. The one thing holding me back is that I need someone that is willing as much as I am to work hard on putting it together and making it good... it's not going to be easy, but I want it to not suck and be something people will never forget.

It won't be fighting only as well... I may throw in some odd competitive matches of games that have enough tournamant worthy depth, but never considered (if Final Fantasy Tactics comes out before then for the PSP, I may set up an AdHoc tourney with that... with limitations of coarse due to uneven levels of characters.)

Best Buy over in Boca Raton has two spots literally filled with PlayStation 3 units. Seems they can't get them to sell, while they're completely out of Wiis and DS'.

Kmart in Pompano Beach also has a couple of them sitting there as well.

Old arcades? Aren't those long since dead? The only one that comes to mind would be the arcade@ malls of americA next to the movie theater. There's quite a few E-cafes around

The last arcade I ever recall seeing was back over in Miami in the Westland Mall. And that was some number of years ago.

Yeah, that long ago. It was in one of those outter sections of the mall. I *think* it was by the exit nearby FYE or somewhere around that area. Wasn't actually inside of the mall.

You could probably go to the Fun Depot in Lake Worth for an arcade. Never been there myself, but they've been around for years now.

http://fundepot.net/

More importantly, are there any import game stores in the area? I've been looking for one for almost 20 years down here. ;)

Dade's a sausagefest!

No arcade at the hollywood hardrock casino.

Funny story. Me and my cousin went to the casino to eat at the hardrock restaurant. The funny part is there is about 8 restaurants there and they don't have a hardrock restaurant. It just irks me that its the hardrock casino and they have everything but a hardrock restaurant there.
