The Goodwill employee was probably BS'n you. If it was brand new sealed from Target why would they need to open it to check for a disc?! Especially if its in the glasscase up front. They gave me the same line when I saw GTA 5 in the case. When I got home I saw a nice ring around the second disc. Most likely this was bought from Target, returned, then they gave it to GW. I know Ive bought sealed games from there before......
@kobun thats not good, I have 3 PS2s also sitting in a box ready to be sold. I did pretty good today! Goodwill was fail, that $30 N64 was still sitting there and there wasnt really anything else today. I went to a little thrift store that donates I think all of its sales to animal shelters so I happily paid the $65 they were asking for when I seen the "Nintendo Set" box on a table.
Havent bought anything from my closest GW since the girl told me I had competition. Went to the other one and saw the controllers, zapper, and pad and actually walked out without them. Sit in my car, think for about 10 mins, go back in and get them. Ask the girl if they had a system in the the back, she said "it wouldve been on the shelf with that stuff if we did". Pay the $3 apiece for that stuff and start walking out. Guy asks if Im lookin for Nintendo stuff and I say "of course". Long story short I follow him down the road to his house, he pulls the NES mini and games from a box (just moved into the house a week ago) and says I can have it all for $20!
So I go to GW on my lunch break and see Blades of Steel for NES on the counter and 2 PS2 controllers and 2 N64 controllers in the electronics. I decide to go back after work to see if any systems show up. Welp the only thing left is 1 of each controllers.
Girl- "so do you clean this stuff and sell them?"
Other girl- "who you talking to?"
Girl- "this guy, he always buys game stuff"
Me- "I do clean up most of the stuff from here because its so dirty. I keep stuff, trade stuff, and sell some things"
Girl- "yeah theres another guy who comes in and buys stuff, he says he tries to beat ya"
It's all confusing. And you likely will meet at a bbq/family reunion at some point.
HA maybe! I could shorten that line of people and still not see someone! The only time Id expect to see my own sister's future in-laws would be at her and her bfs wedding. I wouldnt have any business at his family reunions.
FINALLY GOT SOMETHING AT A YARD SALE! Marked $35, offered $20, came back with $25 which was fine with me since it was the first thing Ive seen this summer.
