#11889026 50% off Criterion sale @ Barnes & Nobles (ends 07/28/14).

thanks for the info. Looks like my reaping will be a brief history of time, Frances ha, scanners, the devil's backbone, fantastic Mr fox, and the life aquatic. thoughts? opinions? I was thinking of picking up another Kurosawa film but I already won most of them.

Check out Harakiri if you haven't. It's not Kurosawa, but it's an excellent film.

Started up Ni No Kuni recently;it has it's issues but am really enjoying so far. Now I do wish they could've done better with the sidequests instead of having generic fetch quests.

I love political stories (though this one is not the best its still good) and I really enjoyed the combat. One of the very few RPGs where I did most of the side quests and I have played a lot.

In other news I picked up Time & Eternity for $10. I am going to regret this arent I?

It's hilariously bad. The animation honestly reminded me of the Zelda CDI games with the characters doing tons of hand gestures that don't match what's being said(along with the fact they repeat them a lot). The voice actors clearly don't give a shit and just phone it in but you can't blame them with characters this generic and a really bad script.

The gameplay itself actually looks decent, but I could do without the otaku pandering bullshit.

Shit looks weird man.  I'm all about Japanese shit/JRPGs, but those pics make me a bit uncomfortable...

It's a Compile Heart game so like their others it will make you feel uncomfortable at points :)

To be fair, 108 pounds is a fair bit more than $150. Even if it was $150, though, that's still a lot for a series on blu-ray. It's really easy to be spoiled by Sentai and Funimation here in the US. I just don't get how any other company can release these things at such high prices and expect for them to sell.

I love the Aniplex fanboy's who try to rationalize their ridiculous pricing structure lol.

No one should be forced to sit through a Paul W.S. Anderson film. About as bad as sitting through an Uwe Boll film.

Only difference is you get a cheaply made chipboard box.

If you just got a PS3 and are looking for exclusives, then you could do better. Tales of Xillia and Tales of Graces F are among the best of the bunch. Ni No Kuni is also quite good--though it has far more problems than many people tend to point out. The Atelier series is also quite good, BUT those are NOT for everyone. Look up some footage and checkout some reviews. I find them charming and really enjoyable--despite the pervy, blushy, japanese BS.

Obviously there are others, but the Tales games and Ni No Kuni shoudl definitely be at the top of the list--strictly speaking about exclusives.

The Atelier games are pretty tame with their content. The Neptunia games are the ones that really push the stupid pervy shit(like with the cringe worthy pedo character from the second game).

They really fudged up with this release. I have no regrets on getting the cheaper standard editions now. I never knew it was that hard to make a box.

This is the type of stuff that happens when you outsource to Mexico like they do. Hell the box is no different from the other "limited" editions they had.

These DBZ blu-rays. Thumbs up or thumbs down? They've done so many releases of DBZ that I have no idea what's going on.

It's a lazy remaster apparently. I could see Funi doing another remaster of it in the next years.

So .... when does Black Lagoon get good? Two episodes in on Toonami's run and it comes off as boring to me. Are people liking it for the constant foul language?

No people like it for it's interesting characters and how it's basically a mix of John woo,Tarantino, and spaghetti westerns movies. I don't understand why people whine about the foul language since the show is about the criminal underworld.I don't expect the characters to talk like refined gentleman.

I read them, but I just don't let them dictate what I play. If I did that I'd miss out on a lot of fun games.
