Southeast Media Outlet - Games, Movies, Consoles + MORE! BIN w/ BO

22 May 2014 - 06:40 PM

I run a fairly small eBay store and am looking to gain a little bit more exposure. All items are listed as "Buy It Now!" with a "Best Offer" option. Also, all of my items are typically the cheapest available on eBay... with the addition of the BO option!

I sell a fairly large assortment of items--> Video games, Blu-ray movies/TV sets, video game consoles and accessories, rare video game merchandise/collectibles, miscellaneous electronics, etc.

All shipments go out within 24 hours, GUARANTEED! Although the idea of self-promotion can come off as an empty promise, I vow to provide one of the best shopping experiences you'll have online! No, seriously. Give me the opportunity to prove it to you!

I do everything in my power to sell items at a minimum profit margin. I truly enjoy what I do and take pride in providing my buyers with the absolute best customer service experience found anywhere online. I do this for a living and not as a side job, so ALL of my attention is focused on the customer. I don't make a lot of money, nor am I looking to expand on my business. It's not about that - it's about the sheer joy of selling items I'm passionate about! I sincerely believe in the idea of quality over quantity.

When is the right time to invest in a Wii U?

01 April 2014 - 08:39 PM

Long time Xbox 360/PS3 (now XB1/PS4) user here. I've been pretty deeply invested in the typical AAA titles (Halo, Titanfall, inFAMOUS, Killzone, Skyrim, etc), but I feel they're getting a bit stale for my tastes.

I grew up playing NOTHING but the NES, SNES, N64 and eventually the GameCube. I absolutely LOVED the original titles these systems provided. However, I've completely ignored the Wii/Wii U scene and was thinking of picking up the Wii U soon so I can enjoy all of the old Wii/Wii U games I've missed out on.

However, the question is this - when should I do it? Is the Wii U at it's lowest right now? Are Wii games affordable? Are they raising in value over time or degrading? I've noticed games like Mario Kart Wii, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 (all games I'm interested in) fluctuate in price, but never seem to drop below $20.

Is it the right time to invest in the Wii/Wii U or should I wait a little longer? I'm just trying to time it right and be the best CAG I can be! :P

Anyone had any bad experiences with ThinkGeek?

29 March 2014 - 09:48 PM

Purchased two Skyrim Dragonborn statues through ThinkGeek about a week ago with their recent "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" promo code. It ended up costing me $299.99 + $149.99.

One shipped and arrived within a few days. Opened it up, inspected it, everything looked great! Right after that, I receive an e-mail stating only one was in stock, and I would be issued a refund for the discounted statue ($149.99). Since I was basically baited into buying one at full price, I decided I'd try and return it. I was offered the option to, but I would be responsible for shipping AND a restocking fee (since I opened it).

In all honesty, I was going to try and sell the $149.99 statue on eBay and try to make some back on the original price so I could justify the purchase... but now it looks like I'm either keeping it at full price or sending it back and paying around $30-40 in shipping/restocking fees.

I've contacted them via chat, e-mail and phone on multiple occasions... and they will NOT budge. Apparently, it's "up to the warehouses" to determine IF there is a restocking fee and how much I'll be charged (which I'll never know the actual amount they agree on - I'll just have to do the math based on the refund I receive).

Ok, rant over.

I hate ThinKGeek.

Xbox One Headset Adapter - Anyone having problems?

10 March 2014 - 01:15 AM

So I picked up the Xbox One stereo headset adapter yesterday, updated my controller and plugged in my Sony Pulse Edition headset. The sound and chat output sounded great! However, the people in my party kept hearing their own voices echo. I tried another headset (Razer Eelctra) and the same problem arose.

Any one have a problem around this? Or is this just something I'm going to have to accept?
