About Me

I am a 42 year old architectural photographer (also do some furniture and product photography). I have my B.F.A. and M.F.A. with my focus in photography. After graduating from college with my M.F.A., I worked with an architectural photography firm for roughly 4 years. Once I had learning everything I needed to know, I left and started my own photography business back in 2001. I have been shooting on my own since then and am loving every minute of it! Being your own boss is everything people make it out to be, and then some!!

My interests include Large Format Photography (4x5 & 8x10 - film only), Amateur Astronomy, Astrophotography, Optics, Meteorology, Storm Chasing, Traveling, RV's, Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Kayaking & Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Skiing, Hang Gliding, Animals & Protecting the Environment, Reading, Watching Movies, Surfing the Internet, and last but not least, continuing my education until the day I die.

Any bio would be incomplete if I didn't mention collecting. I am a collector at heart and have more collecting hobbies than I care to admit, with new ones popping up all the time. My father got me into collecting at a very young age and it just stuck. I currently collect lithographs/prints, replica weapons (mostly sci-fi), vintage camera's and lenses, Vintage Kodak memorabilia, vintage Orange Crush memorabilia, fist edition books, coins/precious metals, Sideshow statues and figurines, golden age and silver age comics, original comic art, vintage denim, vintage Belstaff and Barbour jackets, unopened boxes of original series Wacky Packages, video games/video game systems, Railroad and Silver certificates, playing cards, etc..

My bio would also be incomplete if I didn't mention gaming. I have played video games my entire life so for me, its not just a recreational activity, its simply a part of who I am. My uncle purchased the original Pong console back in 1975 and would bring it over on the weekends. From there I purchased an Atari2600, an Intellivision, a Colecovision, then jumped over to the computer side with a Vic-20, a Commodore 64, a Commodore 128, an Amiga 500 etc.. I have owned almost every major console released in the US and I actually still own all of them today (the collector in me!). I also still have all of the games I have ever purchased as I never sell my games (again the collector in me). My basement looks like a video games museum. My favorite genre is definitely adventure games, probably because those were the most popular games growing up. The Sierra and LucasArts adventures are some of my favorite games of all time (Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Zak McKraken and the Alien Mindbenders, The Dig, Loom, Kings Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, etc.). Just never get sick of playing them. I recently started building my very first gaming PC (have always been a Mac user) and I cant wait for the next generation of consoles to get here. Definitely a gamer for life!!
