I don't know who Troy McClain is, but WWE just released him.

You might remember him from such shows as "NXT" and "Monday Night Raw (guy standing against the wall during a Sheamus interview)."

I am admittedly a huge Undertaker fan but this was an interesting read and the guy actually made sense in some points:

http://www.cagesides...-the-undertaker

Sorry, but the guy who wrote that is an idiot. I'm just a few paragraphs in and he's already talking about how he "didn't pay his dues" - after getting the shit kicked out of him by Brody in his FIRST MATCH, then slumming it for years in Texas and Memphis before getting a half-heated push in WCW. This guy talks like he walked in it out of nowhere and was given a main event posh. Bullshit.

He then says Mankind was what defined The Undertaker and made the fans finally get behind him. Bullshit. Undertaker was one of the most popular guys on the roster from the moment he originally turned face and was easily the number two or three good guy on the roster at all times prior to Foley's arrival.

He then says Mankind was treated like a jobber in the original Undertaker feud. Bullshit. Undertaker had basically no sold everything from everybody - including the entire heel roster in that casket match - until Foley came along and not only did damage to him, but flat out beat him back to back to back, which pretty much no one had ever done since his face turn 4 years earlier. Undertaker finally beat him at their Survivor Series match, but that's easily the most forgettable of their feud.

I stopped reading there. What a dipshit.

Loved everything about that main event. Brock doing the sit up was what sealed it.

That's how you book the guy that beat Undertaker. Only problem now is there is no way they have anyone on the roster that can live up to being the guy that beats Lesnar. Bryan's closest since it would be the best story possible, but his return is hardly a given at this point.

OK, the little moment with the crowd chanting Slater's name with Ziggler laughing and Slater shrugging was cute.

If everything reported so far is true (har har) then it looks like it was win-win. Guy who made the comment got slapped, and Del Rio gets out of the company he wanted out of.

The final issue of WWE Magazine comes out in mid-September. With GamePro, Nintendo Power, and now this, I think EGM is the only magazine still around from when I had a bunch of subscriptions in the late 80's/early 90's.

Eh...enjoyed the beta for the most part, but even assuming we get more environments in the full game, I'm not sure this is something I'd be sticking with, especially now that the Xbone will finally start seeing some significant releases again just a month or two after it's out. Canceled my pre-order, although that doesn't mean I won't buy it. May wait for some feedback on the full game.

Like the above post kind of says, it certainly seems like they have something worthwhile here, but I'm not sure they're taking advantage of it. Or if they are, the beta doesn't do a great job of making that obvious.
