#11972985 Ultimate Warrior memorial wrestling thread 1959-2014

Posted by KaneRobot on Yesterday, 02:56 AM

The final issue of WWE Magazine comes out in mid-September. With GamePro, Nintendo Power, and now this, I think EGM is the only magazine still around from when I had a bunch of subscriptions in the late 80's/early 90's.

Just in time for another memorial thread.

#11959661 Destiny Discussion Thread - Beta is Free For Gold Members Now - Fear The Moon...

Eh...enjoyed the beta for the most part, but even assuming we get more environments in the full game, I'm not sure this is something I'd be sticking with, especially now that the Xbone will finally start seeing some significant releases again just a month or two after it's out. Canceled my pre-order, although that doesn't mean I won't buy it. May wait for some feedback on the full game.

Like the above post kind of says, it certainly seems like they have something worthwhile here, but I'm not sure they're taking advantage of it. Or if they are, the beta doesn't do a great job of making that obvious.

That pic is at least a couple of years old now, if not more.

Yep. It's funny how every time he's away, that pic shows up with people saying "look at him now!"

Also, those pictures placed next to each other makes me want to see a La Raza Cena vs Handsome Celebrity Punk feud.

Wow, Fuck WWE for using the Animotion song in the SNME promo for the network, when in the actual episodes on the network, that song is overdubbed on every single episode intro.

I didn't realize that the WWE Network carries ECW Hardcore TV episodes. I don't know if I can resist.

Has anyone watched any of them? Is any of the music and cursing intact?

Not only is the music overdubbed - all of it - but it's some of the worst overdub music they've ever used.

Is Titanfall worth the $40 download on xb1?

Is the game worth buying? Yes. Is that the rock bottom lowest price you could probably find it at? Nah.

I like it fine and can't imagine trying to navigate the Xbonr without it. That said, its not for everyone and I still don't have the room to use it for games. I like the voice command stuff, that's about it.

While I am also firmly on the "Nidia is not hot" bandwagon, for some reason I found the pairing of Noble and Blind Nidia pretty funny. "AHM OVER HERE BABY"

Crackdown 2 really improved upon the original.

Do not listen to this man, someone from Ruffian may be holding him at gunpoint.

Crackdown 2 was at least arguably the worst follow up to a pretty good game during that console's lifespan. What a total bummer that game was.

Go ahead and check it out if you must, but you have been warned.

While I'm cautiously optimistic for RB Resurrection maybe coming someday, all the Harmonix layoffs a few weeks ago and John Drake leaving yesterday makes me wonder what HMX is at this point. Part of what made the series great was the team behind it, and a massive chunk of that team is gone.

That said, I'd probably buy just about anything as long as you could use your old library. Or at least most of it.

I actually enjoy when Cena is in the main event, it saves me about 20 minutes of having to sit there watching wrestling.

I dont know about Wrestlemania 7 or what the theme they have there, but I know that there was a time after Demolition turned heel again that they started using some gloomy sounding music that was very similar to Steve Austins first WWE theme. I also remember Smash and Mask wrestling in black masks for a short period too.

Yeah, WM7 had the theme you're talking about. It was kind of odd because I remember a lot of the build up to the Tenryu match used photos of Demolition with the masks, then at match time they were in facepaint.

It was really frustrating how they didn't make a huge deal out of LoD vs Demolition. In my opinion it's second only to Flair and Hogan as far as pre-Attitude era feuds they completely fucked up.

They put masks on them and game them a "creepy" theme to distance them from the LoD gimmick (heavy metal and face paint), when they should have gone full blown back and forth feud that culminated at WM7. As much as I'm far more entertained by Demolition matches than LoD's stuff, I would have been fine if the feud ended with LoD beating them decisively at that point. Just made no sense to waste it in a bunch of meaningless 6 man matches at house shows with Demolition vs Warrior/LoD.
