In Topic: Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale! 60 games up to 85% off!

At some point, linearity became a bad word in the gaming world.

F that. I like my games linear. I like the storytelling.

Short and long fiction have the last word in linear storytelling. Games should play to their unique strengths, the story exists for context to player agency. That got somewhat forgotten in this gen: Uncharted/Mass Effect/Journey/Walking Dead all being overrated for example. Frankly I think it's more of a problem with literacy among gamers than anything.

But hey, grats for copping to a (now only slightly) unpopular opinion.

Er, that's not a "bait and switch".

Still sucks, though. My disappointment at yet another TES sale had been lessened by the chance to get Dragonborn for 800 MSP.

Yeah I was at a loss there. Theoretically though, someone could've bought msp in anticipation of just that sale.

We'll just have to make up a term for it... how about "Majored?"

Man they went and majored that Skyrim sale just like the Max Payne sale...

There was supposed to be a Durango announcement at E3 but it looks like it might be majored...

Excited that 20 bucks will buy me the Skyrim DLC.

It'll force me to get back to it.

Looks like a bait n switch on the Skyrim DLC. Just like Max Payne a few weeks ago. Re-check Major Nelson's post.

Wow, how often does a game get _relisted_ like Yar's Revenge?

EDIT: Also, I jumped on the ghostbusters jumpsuit. It's missing a nametag and just a bit different in some ways to the movie, but it does come with a non-functional proton pack.

So with this new 200pt reward, what's the smallest TV season you could find on Xbox Video? Here's a 3-episode complete series run of "Do Not Disturb", which Huffington Post described as:
"Fox had high hopes for this Jerry O'Connell sitcom directed by Jason Bateman. The show was made by the same people who did "Ugly Betty," "The Office," and "The Tudors." But after three episodes, the network canceled the show, making it the first casualty of the 2008 season."

Anyone find anything cheaper than a 400pt Season Pass?

P.S. Hey, leave it to Wikipedia to have a complete list of shortly-aired shows!

(check out the synopsis for "Heil Honey I'm Home" ... I'd kill to see this show!)

What about "buying" free content. The marketplace doesn't really make a distinction. Seems like that would trigger the reward.

"Buy or rent 7 HD TV Shows" -- There have to be some free shows in HD.

"All movies and TV Shows featured on Xbox Video qualify for the offer. Rental and/or purchases must take place between February 1, 2013 00:01 UTC and ending February 28, 23:59 UTC."
