#11867055 Best Buy DOTD: 8/1 Call of Duty: Ghosts $34.99 (Xbox One/PS4)

Posted by Hemi on 24 June 2014 - 07:58 AM

Hmmm, I wonder if I go to the store tomorrow and buy the mouse will it automatically prompt the steam card or simply zero out a $50 steam card if scanned together? Wouldn't mind price matching Amazon.

What are the chances the mouse/steam cards sell out by near end of business hours tomorrow?

Why wait? Call 1-888-bestbuy and at the first set of options press 0 (After the language select of course) and then press 1 after that to speak to a sales rep. Say you want to place an order, then when they ask just give them the SKU for the mouse 8157061. Say you want to price match it to amazon, after they price match it, also ask them to add the sku 6577073 (The steam wallet card) to the cart, and it will be $0. You can even choose the option of in store pick up like I did.

Interesting. So wait are you paying $50 for the mouse or the steam wallet. One includes tax and the other doesn't. Just wondering since I may or may not do this via express lane.

Paying for the mouse of course, the steam wallet code is FREE when purchased with the mouse. Was about $3.60 tax for me, but your still saving $20 than buying the deal straight up.

Have you played it? I voted for it because I'd probably buy it if it hits $3, although it looks like it has a ton of bad reviews.

Nether is not about fighting the NPC's at all really. We joke about it with my friends "Killing Nether????? SERIOUSLY? WHO KILLS NETHER IN NETHER!".

The game pretty much is, roll with some friends with some heavy weapons on a teamspeak, and stake out a part of the map, and then kill whoever you see.

It pretty much is a relatively small community, hackers are there but after like a long time you can recognize them by name, and just hop servers when one is on that server.

It in no way is "Never get a gun or bullets, but get killed by some p2w hacker" like people who compare it to dayz.

#11818700 Forza Motorsport 5 (digital card) $1.99 at Walmart [DEAD]

Posted by Hemi on 06 June 2014 - 06:49 AM

I bought 5 Just to bring the total before shipping to $10 (For the $10 walmart e gift card I had from the insane fiasco we had late last year when a monitor got cancelled XD). Figure one to use, one to give to one of my friends, maybe a third as well, one to sell and cover the price of the order ($15 after shipping and tax) and one to trade off for something. Even at $15 I can't see one of these selling that fast, when they gave them away with the console purchases people were pricing them around that price.

Ok... I am sick and tired of people going "There is content if you do absolutely everything in every way and collect every collectable!"... While that MAY be true, that is true for EVERY game!

Yeah you were paying half the price of a new game... but you were NOT getting even a QUARTER of the content!
You can ENJOY what IS there... but that doesn't change the fact that what IS there, is not enough to consider it a FULL game.

I agree, they are really stupid. I very blatantly explain to people that there's no point in it because there's no physical contact. Anyone can write something romantic, but how are you going to feel around that person when you first meet? 93% of all communication is body language, and basing love on that 7% or slightly higher that you might get in Skype isn't good enough. Coincidentally, my friend's current relationship started on a blog...

Throwing this back off topic, but mine started on REDDIT!

So I don't really understand how he did it, console people logic for pulling shenanigans with brick and mortar stores makes my head hurt, but apparently some dude in one of the console threads says he got Diablo III PC + Reaper of Souls combined for $30.

No I didn't call a brick and mortar store at all. The 1 888 best buy number I listed is for the online CS for bestbuy. You are able to place orders through them (You can pricematch places like amazon, and have them shipped to you ETC.
Merely call in (Made the instructions exact and pretty detailed, overly so), and them merely had them honor THIS page http://www.bestbuy.c...cat330000050005

That is listed on each of the two part's "Special offers".
The base game being $20, means that "Save $20" would make it free. So you end up paying for RoS with the base game free.

.. Such a hassle.. For that I wait for the GOTY edition or whatever their going to call it.. Thanks though.

It pretty much boils down to, call, give them your email address and answer a question or two (so they can verify your account is yours) and then just tell them what you are buying, they will have to try and get the $20 off themselves, but will end up adjusting it, if you can wait 10 minutes or so on the phone it really is zero hassle.

#11805610 BestBuy Diablo 3 xbox 360/ps3 $19.99

Glad I dumped this on Tuesday, mindless button masher.

On the much, much higher difficulties, it is not that case.

Is there a reason to keep the pc version and just get a console version instead? I'd be willing to trade the PC/Mac version I have for a 360 version, if not I got a $5 dollar cert I should use on something soon.

The thing is, if you have a PC that can run it extremely smoothly, the PC version, especially after 2.0, is the best version.

Diablo 3 is on sale for PC at 19.99 at Best Buy, if you look in special offers it says when bought with ROS it would take $20 off, theoretically makeing it free. It doesn't work automatically that way, but I called in and after a wait they took $10 off each one to account for the $20.
This make Diablo 3 ($9.99 before GCU, and ROS $29.99 before GCU). ($5.99 and $21.99 after GCU) it depends on how they take that $20 off what your final prices might show, they might end up listing Diablo 3 for $0 and RoS for full price, or take the $20 off RoS but leave Diablo 3 at regular price. This is just how the rep who I got did it. However, there should be no reason not to honor the special offer.

1-888-237-8289 (1-888-best-buy)

Press 0 at the first list of options "Press x for x and such", then press 1 for sales and product information, inform them you wish to place an order, and then give them the item SKU for either, then direct them to the special offer link to save $20 and explain how it is not working automatically on the site like it should, and then they should be able to manually adjust it.

*If you are GCU, make sure you give them the email address associated with your best buy account, and it should take your GCU off automatically in the cart, MAKE SURE THEY TAKE ANY $ OFF THE GCU PRICES!

Grand total was $27.98 before tax for me.
Diablo 3 PC (Base game)

Diablo 3 ROS Expansion

Special offer for $20 off Diablo 3 with purchase of expansion link

Yup. It's my fault for agreeing to send as a gift, though. Probably will never do that again.

If someone strictly demands you send it as a gift, don't, it should only ever be used if you fully 100% trust the person, for instance if you have dealt with them in the past.

Damn I feel bad for you guys...

Was $27 at Best Buy, with GCU and without the fraud.

Not really fraud, in that case. The way the b2g1 works at target shows that they expect people to return games in some cases.
