This confuses me. If it's been redeemed on Vudu, doesn't that effectively nix at least the Flixster redemption, since both use UV? And doesn't redeeming on one service cancel the other options, like iTunes?
I'm experienced with UV and services that utilize it, but don't know a lot about how iTunes and GP function. The one time I redeemed a multi-service DC code (via Disney), and chose Vudu for the redemption, the other options were subsequently made unavailable when I returned to the page. I guess I've still got a bit to learn, especially when it comes to non-UV DCs.
HBO shows give three redemptions. One for iTunes, one for Vudu and one for Flixster. This season 3 also has added the Google Play, although I don't know if that's an either or with iTunes.
So if you see someone offering HBO shows and it says Itunes + UV, don't assume that means VUDU, because I'm sure there are some unscrupulous people out there who won't offer that info up without being asked.
That's why I always list Flixster rather than the potentially misleading "UV".
EDIT: here's a snapshot of the redemption page. You choose what you want to redeem, and then enter the code. I've redeemed the VUDU so if you pick that and enter the code it'll say VUDU was redeemed.
The others are all available though, so it looks like now they offer four redemptions, I guess. Never messed with Google Play, and this is the first code I've gotten that has offered it.
good luck finding it for $3 or $4 i just got vudu credits and bought it from there $14.99
There will be someone selling the code for that price either here or on another site. It's these people that don't know any better that drive up the costs on something that shouldn't be that high.
Just because a movie costs $14.99 or $19.99 on VUDU or the iStore does not mean that that is the natural price for the VUDU codes that often come free with a movie.
This whole thing used to be about just trading with one another for movies we didn't have but wanted. Now it's become a business for people charging sometimes ridiculous prices, because there's someone out there that doesn't know you can get it for cheaper.
I usually don't do this type of thing, but I'm in a generous mood.
I don't have an Xbox or 360, so have no need for the freebie you were giving away, but figured I'd help you out anyway. Not sure what you get for each one, but hey...enjoy! Don't spend them credits all in one place now!
It's much like those that insist that we have "Prayer in School". And then you say "okay, cool. So we can have Islamic Prayer too?" and then that exposes the problem there. Because those people aren't asking for "Prayer in School", they're asking for "THEIR religious prayer in school". They just want Christian prayer in school, not any other religious prayer.
I'm a Christian, but these people drive me crazy because they have turned the faith I have held all my life into a laughing stock and something to be despised due to their bigotry and trying to use the Bible to justify hatred.
I'm really pissed that the seller included signature confirmation. Now I need to sit around waiting for this thing when it should've been delivered in the morning first thing. Now I have to worry if I miss it.
What's the point in signature confirmation? You already have the tracking and can tell if it was delivered to the right address.
I'm seriously considering leaving a bad review on this seller (I don't like that he didn't ship right away and waited a day extra but the signature confirmation really ticks me off.
What do you think I should do about this?
Wait...to get this straight you're thinking of giving a bad review because:
1. The seller waited a WHOLE day to ship it.
2. He requests signature confirmation.
I got that about right? Do you even realize how petty you sound right now? I mean, no offense, but yeah that's kinda petty.
First of all, you don't know what is going on in that person's life. Maybe they work two jobs and missed a chance to hit the post office to send your precious item out. Maybe they got sick, or a family member got sick or hurt and they weren't able to get it sent off. Any number of things could have happened that delayed them A SINGLE DAY. That's not nearly enough to send someone bad feedback. You sound like someone that nobody should ever ever sell to.
And secondly, signature confirmation protects them AND it helps you out. Think about it. Say your package gets delivered, but to the wrong person. Someone is hanging outside your place and they are like "oh yeah, that's me!" and they accept your package. Now without signature confirmation, there's no way to know who accepted it, however according to the tracking info, it was accepted.
Now with signature confirmation, if someone signs for it, you have the name. Now if it's someone scamming, sure they may use a fake name or whatever, or hell, write your name. However in most cases it may get delivered to a neighbor or someone up the block. With the signature confirmation, they can write you back and say "hey, so and so signed for this" and then hopefully you're like "oh, okay, I know that person" and then you go get it.
I've had that happen a few times as I live in an apartment building.
Just calm down and relax. If you give negative feedback based on that, you should be bounced from ebay for good. Just being honest here.
The administrator then said she would need a photo of his ID, and he would need to read the guidelines and procedures. “We’re not telling you you can’t, you just need to follow the guidelines,” the administrator says.
Sounds about right, and sounds fair as well. People seem to want to do what they want to do when they want to do it with no clearance or permission or anything. Things don't always work that way, and when it doesn't it's not always someone's "Free speech" being trampled upon.
FIRE’s letter told Stearns that the college’s actions are unconstitutional.
“To be clear: MJC’s requirement that students request permission to distribute printed materials on campus is unconstitutional. Its requirement that such requests be submitted a minimum of five business days in advance is unconstitutional. Finally, its exile of all approved campus expression to a single small area of the campus is unconstitutional,” the letter stated.
Get the outta here with this bullshit. I swear people don't even know what Free Speech even means anymore. They think it means they can do anything they want, say anything they want, and if anyone says boo, "HEY! STOP INFRINGING MY FREE SPEECH!"
To those people I say you and your mistaken impression of what Free Speech means.
Unless these people are being LOCKED UP by the state for what they are doing, they are not having their free speech taken away. They don't wanna follow the rules, and think that means they are being infringed upon.
Is there anyone in this thread that has NOT gotten Steam Codes/Origin Codes that are interested in them? I want to make sure that my codes are going to people who are not ones that are routinely getting the free codes. Nothing against those people, I just would prefer that my codes go to those who have unfortunately not been able to get in quick enough to get some codes.
As a Christian it saddens and angers me to see so many people using the faith I believe in (although not as devout as I was when younger) for evil purposes such as bigotry and racism and discrimination. You can take any Holy Book and find verses in there that will tell you what you want to hear.
"Well the Bible says 'Eye for an eye"
Yeah, and the Bible ALSO says "do not repay vengeance for vengeance. ... Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord."
People find things that suit their beliefs, and then carry that forward. They essentially tailor the Bible around their beliefs as opposed to tailoring your beliefs around the Bible. I mean, not everyone believes in God, and that's fine. My faith was never based on what others felt about it, or whether they agreed with me or not.
As the saying goes, "You know you've created God in your own image, when He hates all the same people that you do."
At the base of the problem though, is the politicization of religion. It's that melding of Politics and Faith (Church + State, if you will) that has caused so much damage. Sadly I don't see that ever changing though.
