Yes because apparently the forums lord and savior DestroVega who determines what is and isn't deemed an "actual post," has made his judgement and you sir lawdood have been bestowed with this honor.  "All hail sir lawdood.. All hail sir lawdood.."

Or I guess you and the Playstation brigade could spew more console wars bullshit that nobody cares about. That's totes productive.

#11692884 XONE - Killer Instict - F2P Character Rotation Each Month - Fulgore 4/9!

Posted by eastx on 16 April 2014 - 03:39 AM

I've sent my old Street Fighter IV Standard and Tournament Edition sticks to a stick modder from SRK. He's going to  modify them to work with both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Yeah, it's costing me a lot (the modder has to strip actual Xbox One controllers and solder to them) but it will be so sweet to play Killer Instinct and other latest-gen games with real arcade sticks. Actually, modding both sticks will cost only a bit more than the official Madcatz Xbox One stick, and that thing lacks a headset jack. (The modder is going to work in headset support somehow.)

Once I get the sticks back (early May), I'm going to be down for some kicking some serious Chubbyninja and Spybreak butt in Killer Instinct. :)

I was initially upset about having to wait until midnight to update (thanks to my data cap), but now I'm grateful because it gave me a chance to read the reactions from various people. I never use Xbox Music, so I'm not terribly upset about that, but the way they screwed up Games is a huge drawback for me. I personally really enjoyed the live tile, but more importantly, I liked having my games separate from my apps. I've probably got over 50 games; adding them to my apps list will create a huge mess for me. That's one of the things I hate most about my Android tablet. Until they fix that, I'm not going to bother with updating.

Although mixing games in with apps does suck, I'm fine with jumping to apps by letter (as I've always done) or just searching for them. But from a gaming perspective, the downside of clogging up the Apps list is made up for by separate volume controls. At least we can keep our games at a reasonable volume without screwing up the phone's ringer! Guess I'm a little biased since I've been pushing for that feature for so long.

Are they rolling 8.1 out already? Or did you get early access as a developer?

It's available through the Preview for Developers program, which anyone (including my entire family) can easily get into.

Here's a rare non-gaming article I wrote on 8.1's search feature:

I Tried Fable Heroes. Never have I lost interest in a game so quick. Too many unnecessary mechanics, why are there three other assholes always around me who take my gold and hearts, have any of those assholes at Lionhead ever play a beat em up in the past two generations annnnnd I don't care. This was all within my first 5 minutes of playing it. All the ideas are like adding frosting to a steak, by themselves and with other thing's in their respective category they're amazing, but add them together and I suddenly hate the world.

You can switch to a mode in which all gold is shared, at which point that stops being an issue. Won't help with hearts, but Heroes is pretty easy anyway IMO. I'm a little fuzzy on this, but I seem to remember the option to turn off CPU players being in there as well.

They were going for a co-op + competitive vibe with the calling out the player who got the most gold at the end of the level as well as the board-game character upgrade minigame that follows. Works okay in multiplayer, even if it's fundamentally off. The game definitely has some weird mechanics and awful graphics/art design, but I still liked it overall.

The price has nothing to do with it.  It's not fun for me.  You and plenty of other people enjoy it but not everyone likes the same things.  If I don't enjoy online multiplayer then why should I pay a fee for it?  I shouldn't.

Blaster Man, you have to decide whether you're a troll or not. You can't just be a blatant filthy troll and then try to make negative but honest comments in the same thread. It doesn't work that way. I suppose the conversation I'm quoting does come from a comment that was trolling though, so maybe it's not out of character after all. I mean, you obviously have no place here so I'm not sure why you even bother commenting...

xbox live is shared on xbox one system no longer needs gold for every screen name on system. Plus you can sign into xbox live from more then one location i have done it before when i was signed on my xbox one and then signed into my 360 at same time.

I don't think you can sign in from two Xbox One consoles though, just like you can't sign in on two Xbox 360s at once.

Backwards compatibility would be awesome. But it causes me no pain at all to have both the 360 and One hooked up to my TV. Both get plenty of use. ~ ~

Kdiddy, no idea how to fix that issue you're having. You should contact support and do some web searches to see if it's a common problem.

If you have a better idea about what I should do while I'm at work I'd love to hear it.

Write short stories! Naw, commenting at work is fine. You're just too snarky sometimes IMO.
