The end of an era, and a welcome to the new future that lies ahead!

I just wanted to make a small post/blog here both for saying goodbye to the CAG (2.0) that we all know and love, that has saved us all many dollars (or other currencies) for the last couple of years (I've been a member for almost 6 years myself, while a good amount of people have been around even longer) and welcome the future of CAG (3.0) and all it's further ways that it will help us all in our amazing quest for savings!

Outside of the minor annoyances of relearning some of the basics such as layout/design, it seems like CAG 3.0 will be bringing many features I've seen members say they wanted throughout my time on the forums, and figured I would ask is there anything in specific you are looking forward to in the upcoming release? Or perhaps you don't want there to be change and you want CAG to stay the way it is now forever, if so, why?

I myself don't mind, many of the other websites I use have been changing recently and while a few of them IMO have gotten worse, most of them are improving and bringing better features to their pages. While I'm sure we'll all be somewhat sad (or maybe even confused!) to see something we all use so much and rely on to help us with our savings (or trading, podcasts, even just general discussion!) have a rehaul and change how it looks, in the end I expect the change to be beneficial to a majority of the members, myself included.

All in all, I mainly just wanted to thank everyone like Cheapy, Wombat, Shipwreck, Super Programmer John, and all of the mods who put time and work into CAG and have kept it running all of these years (and for many more to come!). And to all the members of the site, let's make CAG 3.0 an awesome community to be a part of and keep on helping out one another and just being awesome!

Goodbye CAG 2.0! You will be missed, and WELCOME CAG 3.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im hungry
I'm cautiously optimistic about CAG 3.0. Like you said, relearning the format can be a huge pain in the ass at times. I don't think there's a lot of things that CAG 3.0 will be adding that I'll be using (I mostly just use the main deals page, I don't get into much trading here unless it's digital content) but we'll see what it brings. CAG 2.0 still functions really well so we'll see what 3.0 brings.
My body is ready? As long as the desktop site still works fine on my phone I'll be happy (which it does on the beta site - actually seems to work better). Even if it runs terribly it's not like I'll start going somewhere else.
^There is a beta site?
@MiNuN I am also hungry....:P

@tyler The format is the biggest thing for me as well, and like you I myself only trade digital codes so a lot of the features related to that don't mean that much for me, but I'm hopeful that there will be some new features that help me out in my search for deals. Also, I'm pretty sure the beta site is just beta.cheapassgamer.com

@pete I really don't use the site on my phone all that much, so I just want it to work well on computers lol. But it would be nice if the format is good for other devices for all of the people who use this site a lot on those, and yeah, if I don't like the layout or such, I'm still going to use this site anyways since it really is the best place for gaming deals.
Thanks MoCiWe, I checked out the beta site. I don't particularly love it, but I'll get used to it.

I'm a little bit concerned about the "Like" button. It might be cool, and it might be awful. I'm not sure exactly how it will be implemented, but if people start competing for "Likes", the site will go to hell real quick.
