cag 3.0, blogs
We've imported all the blogs from the old site and while there are still some blog features to get up and running, this should give you regular bloggers something to be getting on with.

If you've got a blog that's been imported, you'll probably notice it looks a little different to this one. You can customise and arrange the blocks to the left/right of...

Review: Hard Reset (PC)

Posted by John, in Reviews 01 June 2012 - - - - - - · 1869 views
In a refreshing change from the long years of marketing build-up that we've all grown accustomed to, cyberpunk first person shooter Hard Reset has hit digital shelves only a few short months after being announced. This is the debut release from Flying Wild Hog, a new Polish development studio formed by some of the folks behind games like Bulletstorm, The...

21375 With the first-person shooter genre becoming a little more crowded every other week, it takes something a bit different to get me to sit up and take notice. As it turns out, one incredibly ambitious teaser trailer, four years of non-stop hype, and ultimately some very pretty graphics were enough to get me to try Killzone 2. When I did, I was pleasan...

Get game price data without leaving the page!

Posted by John, 11 March 2010 - - - - - - · 1292 views

As Cheapy mentioned in the latest CAGcast, we recently added a feature that lets you browse price/trade-in data without leaving the page you're on. The most obvious place you'll be seeing this is in the CAG search bar, you'll see a new price window button on the right of any game listed in the results.

A quick update on the status of our CAG updates and the upcoming beta test - as you may know we planned to get the beta up and running on February 1st, but due to a few technical difficulties it looks like things will be spilling over into tomorrow. I'll be updating this post with progress of the update and posting again to let everyone know when the beta...

Posted by John, 29 January 2009 - - - - - - · 1187 views

Next up on the change list, user profiles. They've always been a bit of a mess on CAG, so we're taking them back to a tabbed view and throwing plenty of new features into the mix! (Needless to say, things in the screenshots below might change between now and the beta launch - I'll likely add a "blog" tab, and maybe a few other bits and pieces.)

CAG Feature Update #2: Price Tracker

Posted by John, 21 January 2009 - - - - - - · 1797 views

The second in a series of blog posts leading up to the February 1st beta release of CAG's next big update, this time we're taking a look at the replacement for the old CAG-O-Matic - now known as the CAG Price Tracker.

Please note, everything you see here is likely to change - e...

CAG Feature Update #1: New Post Filtering

Posted by John, 12 January 2009 - - - - - - · 856 views

I'll be posting updates running up to the launch of the beta, giving everyone a taste of some of the new features they can expect to see. Today we'll be starting off with something you can use on the site right away, it's called "New Post Filtering" and you can get to it through the User CP. (Or here .)

It works by allowing you to choose which forums are...

Steam - Now offering great prices for UK PC gamers

Posted by John, 14 December 2008 - - - - - - · 715 views

3813 Steam's insistence on using the US dollar across all regions has meant us Brits having to put up with some inflated prices if we wanted to use Valve's distribution platform. For example, Left 4 Dead would set you back over £38 after conversion from dollars, £12 more than most online retailers.

Thankfully Valve seems to have noticed this discrepancy...
