Modern Warfare 2 The Easiest CoD Yet? And Further Impressions!

Last night I finally beat Modern Warfare 2...on Veteran.

I would have to say that this has to be the easiest Call of Duty yet that I have beat on Veteran. I never seemed to be frustrated and seemed to progress rather quickly compared to the second half of Call of Duty 2.:bomb:

The game is short so that only works in your advantage as you have less to play as well.

It seems as if Infinity Ward softened and decided to make Veteran more accessible the feeble. One thing I am happy to say though is that unlike World at War, this is no frag fest!:applause:

I also found myself enjoying the game more on Veteran then I did on Recruit. I played through Act I on Recruit and at least to me; it was a bit of a drag. I stopped after I finished it and started over on Veteran. I wanted to get through the level because I didn't like playing it.

On Veteran however...things changed. The same exact missions that I found to be annoying were now drastically better. I would not rule out that Infinity Ward made this game to be played solely on Veteran difficulty.

All in all, the single player was great. Act III has to be the best BY FAR. It really shows how good the SP actually is. The game has some EPIC moments and crazy scenes that have you going WTF with your jaw on the floor! From fighting at D.C. to other places I would rather not spoil it truly is a great experience!:D

Once again, any questions feel free to ask.

Overall Score for Modern Warfare 2; 9/10

LOL Finally! Its about time, what took you so long?
So how long is it?Around 6 hours?
On easier levels it can be beat in around 4 hours. My buddy took that long to beat it on Normal.

Veteran took me about 5-6 hours.
Haha so I'm guessing taking off the respawning enemies made a difference. If anything, they made the past games unnecessarily long anyway. I'm gonna miss them...nnnnnnnnnat.
Wow - no countless respawning enemies and a lack of the constant barrage of frags. This might be a welcome change from the shit show that was World at War (at like 2 certain points)

But finishing it in 5 or 6 hours sounds a bit depressing. I know World at War took me a lot longer - because of said frags and endless hordes of Nazis. I can't remember how long Modern Warfare took.
Almost done with MW1, looking forward to MW2 of course...imo MW2 might be more about Special Opts mode and of course online multiplay. If you count the single and special opts games you can probably add a few extra hours to the game. The new gen of FPS is all about co op and online multiplayer. Also, the article on Kotaku mentions that easier achievements equal more game sales.

Making it easier might also be to allow the game to be more accessible to new comers to FPS. One of my girlfriends gets frustrated easily in FPS games to the point she won't play any of them anymore. A ridiculiously easy level of difficulty might build their confidence and actually open more games to them.

My friends and I beat ODST on legendary in one night, however we've logged a lot more hours in firefight missions. That's where the game's replayability is I suspect it is the same for MW2.

...I'll know tomorrow.
I'm not surprised since the major buying point of the franchise is co-op and multiplayer.
Thanks for the heads up, I played MW on Veteran and didn't find it all that difficult (at least compared to COD2 Veteran) so it looks like I'll be playing MW2 on Veteran.
