I don't think I'll buy this game, I wonder what other feedback is on it. The best character I though was the witch doctor, because it had some abilities that were different from all the others. Raising 3 pets that lasted almost the entire way through to level 10 was awesome in itself (I only had to rez them twice). The worst one I thought was the demon hunter. If you equipped it with anything other than a bow, you couldn't even do combat. And the secondary weapon was a joke (a dagger?).
I hated that the Monk you could not even heal through the demo. You got that ability after you beat the beta end boss. That sucked. And that character was too weak to solo the end boss without healing.
The building tree for character customization is pretty much plug and play, it's not really a system you can tweak.
But I was impressed about the game itself, it could run on a very old system (3 years) at all High settings for graphics and at 1080p resolution.
I have a AMD X2 (unlocked to X4) B55 3.2 GHz AMD No overclocking
12 Gig 1600 DDR3 RAM
2 x Crossfire ATI 4850 PCI Express Running 12.1 Drivers
Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1 and all patches.
The game actually (in full screen mode) showed ATI Crossfire mode and it was butter smooth. The only thing was that my card fans kicked in at 100% fan speed and made the room quite loud.
So even for an older system Diablo III didn't kick my computers behind at all.
But you know, after all this, I think Diablo III is just a high rez version of Torchlight. It's kind of sad. Really it is. I mean the only fun thing I found with Diablo III was playing with 2 of my closest friends in our own game instance. And we needed voice chat. There was no way to play this game without it. So they should actually build in a VOIP client because we relied on skype for it.
