200STM Favorite Video Games! of 2011

Posted by 200STM , 03 January 2012 · 207 views

These are the video games I enjoyed from the year 2011! Now that I have a job I was able to actually buy video games close to launch date! Yeee Haaa! Enjoy and thanks for reading maybe we have similar taste in video games or something. Keep in mind I know there are a lot of good games in 2011 but since I got a job in September I ended up enjoying a lot of games from around that time period but here are my top 3!

Mario Kart Sev7n (Nintendo 3DS) I picked this up shortly after launch at Kmart when they had the 15$ gaming coupon to go with it. As the 4th Nintendo 3DS game I picked up this was pure awesome kartness and I've been playing it almost daily doing all the circuits to unlock characters and collecting coins to unlock more customizable options for my karts. I really enjoy the customization of the karts and I really dig the tight mechanics in the game. I think the 3d doesnt do much but it looks okay though personally I don't really care for 3d in racing games unless it aids in the feeling of speed (Ive heard gran turismo 5 does 3d quite well with this) and personally I don't like how it darkens the screen but then again it is a 3d console. I recommend this to any 3ds owner as a must have for the system.

Star Fox 64 3D (Nintendo 3DS) I really enjoyed the original version on the nintendo 64 even owning a Japanese Cart of it. I really like the Star Fox Series and when they said earlier in the year Star Fox 64 was going to be redone for the 3DS I got happy in my cockpit. I bought my 3DS just to be able to enjoy Star Fox 64 3D (price of 117$ for the console also played a factor too thanks amazon deal!) and when toys r us had a buy 2 get 1 free sale I picked up star fox 64 3D along with super monkey ball 3D and tom Clancy shadow wars. I'll keep this simple. I really like star fox 64 a lot and now that I can play it anywhere and anytime (especially on lunch or break). I like the 3d effect too as this is the first 3ds game in which i was really impress with the 3d. I like the local multilayer as well since i am at a place where i have met some 3ds owners who wanted to play some local 4 player dog fights! I wish it could have had wifi online play but its okay for me since i know i can find a 3ds owner if I want to play.

Battlefield 3 (Playstation 3 Version)I personally was looking forward to this as I was wondering which FPS would I go with Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3? I decided to go with battlefield 3 (bought at gamestop for the limited edition version with the back to kirkland crap) so I can join the Battlefield 3 CAGs on the PS3. I really havent touched the single player campaign but hopefully I will be getting into it for me this purchase was aimed for the online multilayer. I am not the best player in the online world but for me this is just fun to come home from work and pop a can of cola or mikes hard lemonade and just use my generic pump action shotgun (First one you get as a support). I look forward to playing the single player campaign and playing online with CAGs/friends! I like how intense it is online and how I can use the website to keep track of my stats! I dislike how the last update made that "gun" too strong to where it becomes the weapon everyone uses but me since I have my cheap shotgun.

Thanks for reading!!! I will be looking into other great 2011 games I missed out on!
