Gaming with the 3DS when you prefer more Western games...?

Maybe I have just been spoiled by Amazon and their two day shipping/release day shipping but man... I per-ordeered Driver: San Francisco and I still haven't gotten the game. Checked the tracking today and they said to expect in on the 16th! This almost isn't worth the 12 bucks I saved by buying there. Never again Toys R Us, never again.

For me, something is being lost with these games trying to streamline certain aspects

Seems like today's game are all about making things faster and simpler. Of course there are huge benefits to this but as a person who enjoys content and messing around with it, I feel like something is missing with these moves.

I am a big time renter. I rent a lot of games and usually only buy the ones I think will be the best of the best, cheap, or very long. With that said, I play some games some people might try to avoid.
