What are you playing this weekend? - Independence Day Edition

Posted by tylerh1701, 05 July 2014 · 911 views

I'm sure DaddyBo is busy with holiday stuff, so I'll fill in for him.

What you guys playing this weekend? I just wrapped up Tomb Raider :ps3: and had a really good time with it, but I don't know what to play next. Probably something else on my PS3 hard drive so I can clear up some more space. I tried Doki Doki :ps4: but it seems really stupid.

No plans for me tonight, had a BBQ lunch with my family and watched the Brazil/Colombia game. Now I'm home and gonna take it easy and hope there aren't any loud fireworks around my house.

Non-gaming wise, I've got a pretty busy weekend. Netherlands/Costa Rica tomorrow afternoon (let's go Dutchmen!) and then big time UFC fights tomorrow night, and then yet another UFC card on Sunday.

So what the rest of you doing? Have a happy and safe 4th!

Big family cookout tomorrow, so I probably won't get much gaming in... unless it rains again like it did today.  I just finished mowing the lawn this morning when it started pouring, and it hasn't stopped since.  Supposed to be nice most of the day tomorrow... fingers crossed.

I've been playing Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition on my XB1 whenever I get some time to play.  I'm hoping to play some more of it tonight if I can pry my kids (and myself) away from the Walking Dead marathon that's on now.

Guacamelee is awesome, have you played it before?

I wish it would rain.  We're in the high 90s here and I'd do anything to get the head knocked down a little.

yes, go Orange!

How about Neymar getting jacked up today? may not be a good sign for the game Tuesday.

I just got Gran Turismo 6 in the mail, so I think it is Car Porn this weekend. I have been infrequently playing the updated challenges on World Cup as they are added, but since work and school are both off the schedule for a few days I have time for other stuff.

Debating on what I need to play on 360 next to clear out the backlog. Looking like Gun is next, just not sure when to start it. Almost done with the backlog, just have that and a few other disc based titles to plow through.

My mother's side is 100% Dutch so we all get way into the World Cup.  I'm a US guy #1 but Holland will always be my 2nd favorite.  Sucks for Brazil a lot.  I don't like them and want them to go out, but man that's just crushing for them.  We'll have to see what happens on Tuesday.

Down with Netherland !!!!!! I don't want no Euro team to win the WC.

For me this weekend, I want to get my hands on Guilty Gear Xrd at the Anime Expo here in Cali. I was going to play it today but the line was too long for me, and i really wanted to get to a panel i wanted to hear.

Other than that, i'll be playing Injustice on the 360 when i get home.

Still recovering from vacation, so it's been a quiet Fourth for us here. I started Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey today, and may start something else over the next couple of days (not 100% sure what yet).
Am I the only one who came to the blogs Thursday night and was pissed there was no wayptw? 3 day weekends mess me up.

Gaming wise I've been in a rut of no time. Been jumping around chapters in Resident Evil 6. Started Jake's last night. Still trying to finish after the After Years in Final Fantasy 4 but that seems super tedious too. I have 6 more quests to go.

What?!?!? I always cheer for EU teams over South American ones, but especially when the tournament is in South America!  Who wants the home teams to win?!?!?!?

Belgium is gonna start to show the EU dominance today over Argentina.

Haha you're not the only one, I was about to post the thread Thursday night before I remembered it wasn't Friday yet.

Ugh, RE6 was won of the worst games I've played this generation.  Not just bad because it's a terrible resident evil game, but it was just bad.  Dull, poorly paced, and the 3rd person shooter and cover controls just didn't work that well.  Man what a bad game.

I'm starting to get bored with Tomodachi Life and Pokemon X. I'm going to play Mario Kart 8 and start back playing Soul Sacrifice.

Nope, this is my first time playing Guacamelee.  Thought about buying it on PS3 back when it came out, but never pulled the trigger.  I agree- it is quite awesome.

After hours and hours of non-stop downpouring rain yesterday, we had an absolutely perfect day today.  Life in New England.

It's 99 here at the moment.  I'd love rain.

I currently missed out on this blog. I actually finished Watch Dogs (PC) and I finally finished Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (PC). Definitely was mixed over Watch Dogs. The ending was not what I expected but oh well. Definitely like Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. I like the old homage to the 1980s. The ending was funny and possibly showed a possible part 2. I am not too sure.

I am currently playing The Witcher 2 (PC) right now. Definitely fun game. I still feel messed up I could not save my game from part 1 to add it to part 2. I might be looking into a game that is not too long as this will take time for me to play.

My weekend was fun, I had things happen over the weekend but it did not crush my weekend.
