Call of Duty 4 Remaster Incoming?

Call of Duty Gaming Xbox Playstation X1 PS4 Modern Warfare

The recent leaks of the new Call of Duty(titled Infinite Warfare) has been shown having a "Legacy Edition". This edition is supposedly going to include a remaster of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. This is something we can all get excited about! We won't know how true this is until an official announcement is made but fuel is being added to the fire with the official Call of Duty Twitter page teasing it as well with replies to tweets regarding this news.

Now the real fun begins with the speculation of what the remaster will include. Will it be the full game or will it just be the campaign? Let's all hope we can get some CoD4 multiplayer on our PS4's and Xbox One's!!

I would have preferred that they waited a year and just released it by itself in 2017 for it's tenth anniversary. Infinite Warfare in 2016, Modern Warfare Remastered in 2017, and Omega Warfare or whatever in 2018.

And without multiplayer it will just be a "neat" extra in my eyes. I'm hoping for at least Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Domination maybe to keep it simple?

Multiplayer - I will do whatever I have to in order to get it, even if that means buying the Legacy Edition of a game I don't want.

No multiplayer - I'll only get it if there's a way of obtaining separately, whether it be on the PSN store or a cheap download code from someone, or by selling/flipping Infinite Warfare for a pretty high price.

I have some reserved optimism about the remaster.

I agree. If it's just the campaign then I'll hope for a seperate release where I can play through it as I'm skipping CoD this year for the first time ever. If it includes the multiplayer portion of the game then I'll buy whatever edition of the game is needed to get it.

It's most definitely happening, as it was spotted on the PlayStation Store listed as upcoming before it was quickly removed. I'm sure it'll have the campaign and multiplayer : both really changed everything when they first came out.
