Planescape Torment has an enhanced edition on the way
RPG unique story memorable characters
Beamdog has announced what many have long hoped for as the newest in its line of repackages of classic Infinity Engine role-playing games, spiritual ancestor to Torment: Tides of Numenera, Planescape Torment. As someone who got the original for his birthday back in 1999ish? (fuzzy memory), I thought it was a terrific game that enabled you to play as an enigmatic protagonist in a very dark, unforgiving but fascinating setting. I still rank it as the best cRPG of all time.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun has a very nice review of the EE version on its website here.
Beamdog has posted a gameplay trailer at its website and on YouTube as well: .
If you haven't yet experienced Torment because you weren't yet conceived when it came out or for other reasons and you enjoy CRPGs, it's a must-play.
