Hardcore Log Jamming. Tales from the Backlog.
Besides that, how is everyone's gaming doing this year? Since this is CAG where dreams of finishing games and having a modest selection that you'll "eventually play" go to die. So far 38 down this year so this is by far my best year in gaming ever as opposed to buying more and not knowing when to play and just buying more to kinda bury that shame even deeper.
Besides that, some thoughts...
Jesus Christ. I Play this nearly a year after release and it's still pretty damn buggy. That and you'd think they try to change up the scenery or even some of the color palette in the game (wow, everything's gone from green to sun dried yellow! AMAZING!), but it's really the same game as the last one. Not that, that it's all totally bad mind you. Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games, but the game kinda just tosses you abunch of features, but you rarely take notice at them because the game really doesn't tell you much about them or give you a chance to use them unless you got the caps. THOUGH this game is as close as I'll probably ever get to committing brutal heinous murder to Matthew Perry, which gives the game major points and props.
Playing this right now since I've gone pass my achievement quota (50,000) and I figure I should give my Wii some love. So why did I choose this over anything? I Have no damn idea. I Think I'm just curious to see what all the controversy was about and man, did I finally see what it was. I Don't even know if I'm even having fun honestly, it's just...there. Samus' daddy issues are front and center in this game as she gives drawn out monologues and can't make an observation without making some damn poem about it. That and little design choices here and there really just made me shout "WHAT THE ?!" As in where in the process of making this did they think going to first person view you don't need to dodge /instead of the exploring to regain parts or powers you've come to know and love, Samus needs orders (at the risk of her own life mind you) from her former father figure to do so/ what's the point of jumping on enemies to attack when it barely works half the time/ three control schemes on ONE wii mote? We couldn't have just done this on a nunchuck to make it less annoying? Etc. Etc.
Despite this the battle system has it's moments, but there are too many cheap what the hell moments to fully say it's good or even bad. That and the fully rendered CG cutscenes are goddamn gorgeous. As in I WISH or hope the next Metroid looks that good.
