What are you playing this weekend?

Friday :D

YO Since quitting TRU my life has somewhat went back into a normal little rotation. Ya know minus dealer school. I have weekends free again to spend with my family and boy did I miss everyone this past year. Dealer school is heading towards a close. I have 1 more full week left and then we do our auditions, nervous but I feel like I am ready. Weekend plans include going to watch my buddys new band preform tonight, and a few trunk or treats with the kiddos. Of course gaming as well.

On the games side its Divinity Original Sin. I am a little over 20 hours deep now and loving everything about this game. Its bringing back all the feels of my youth and playing titles like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Fallout, Planescape and the combat system heavily reminds me of Arcanum. One thing the game doesn't really resemble is its original title in the series Divine Divinity.

I had love for Divine Divinity back in the day, what started off as a Diablo clone ended up being so much more. I say Diablo clone loosely because anyone who has played it knows it not to be true, but the beginning of the game your regulated to a town and your quest is about finding out whats going on beneath the town in the catacombs. I remember each floor as I went down thinking is this Diablo, hack n slash gameplay, going down level after level in the same area, but man when you finish the catacombs Divine Divinity opened up to a HUGE world. Go anywhere do anything, it was great back in the day. So while this game doesn't have the same combat it does have the charm of Divine Divinity so far. Can't wait to play what is as of this writing my front runner for Game of the Year.

I plan on also playing Plants Vs Zombies on ps4, bought it during the sale going on right now but due to some hiccups with the PSN giving out error on error on error its been a rough ride getting it to work.

What are you playing thi sweekend?

I'm still working on The Last of Us Remastered (I'm in Pittsburgh now), and I'll also hopefully put some time into Forza Horizon 2, Octodad, and the new South Park tables in Zen Pinball 2.  Maybe some more Chariot co-op with my son, too.  I probably won't get to all of those, but we'll see.

Man TLOU picks up so much after Pittsburgh. I hated Pittsburgh, in fact Pittsburgh was my sole reasoning for not trying to play through the game on Survivor Difficulty.

Wow, you had an interestisng week. I actually was trying to play a classic game Advent Rising (PC). Also already finished with Skyrim (PC) but currently playing Dragonborn and looking at Dawnguard. I am thinking this weekend to go out with a friend and possibly doing general errands ;(

TLOU is fun but I hated Pittsburgh too. I think from what I saw on 'Normal' it was annoying. I never played the hard difficulty like that.

That's awesome you have the time to spend with friends/family now! I'm on graveyards so I lose a little bit of that but I sacrifice sleep on a regular basis to make up for it. That's what energy drinks are for, right?

Personally still working on my 360 backlog and last weekend I actually beat Witcher 2 which is an amazing game. I'm debating knocking out the backlog based off release year now which would have me playing Bioshock or the Darkness this week?end. Looking forward to getting into both of those series but not sure which first. I'll debate tonight when game time comes.

I finally beat, and later 100%ed, the story mode in Persona 4 Arena. That said, I'm going to be continuing with Hard Reset, which I started earlier this week and is super old-school, with a nice weapon system. I'm also going to be putting more time into Avalon Code, which is okay so far. Fantasy Life should be arriving from Amazon today, so I might start that up as well.

The idea of working at TRU sounds great… but if you actually think about what you are dealing with, I can imagine it would not be all fun and games. I would love to be around toys and games all day, but not when you don't really get to play with them and instead spend all the time cleaning up after other people is not as fun.

As for me, this weekend will be a busy working weekend. Should be home by two or so tonight, so if I have an ounce of energy left I will be squeezing in some gaming time tonight and tomorrow. I need to try and actually sleep a little as Sunday I work until about 1 and then will be back the next morning by 8… I'm getting too old for that :P

If I do get a chance to play I will be putting some more time into Disney Infinity. I just started the incredibles last night, put about in hour in. Right as I began to stop playing it froze my Wii U, so I'm hoping I don't keep running into issues. I also want to give my 2.0 a try, I read that it was having issues not even getting past the loading screen.

So no big plans for gaming this weekend… I will be happy just to get a little time to sit down and play.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Now that I platted Sleeping Dogs DE, its time to move on to The Evil Within. Can't wait!!

Ive gone back to playing Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii.  Im just addicted to MH.  I cant open the Wii U I bought for Christmas until then and my son's 3ds stopped working so I cant play MH3U.   I am going to wait until next year to get the new version of the 3ds. So this weekend it'll be MH3 and Ill take a stab at Fallout 3 or Disgaea 3.  So many unopened RPG's and so little time.

I'm playing Sly Cooper collection on the Vita. I'm also getting Bayonetta 2 today, so there goes my weekend.

Killer is Dead

Destiny

Pokemon

Repeat

FINALLY finished off Resident Evil 6 as my multiplayer game. Moving on to Resogun which my friend wants me to platinum.

Personally still trying to knock out trophies in destiny. I started on trying to get 100 vanguard score in a week but I just don't think I have the time. Haven't played in a few days now which doesn't help either.

Some Battlefield 4 as theres a 100% XP even this weekend.

I just got an AV Famicom! I'll be playing with it as soon as I figure out the electrical stuff since I'm scared that if I'm wrong the console will die.

Have a good weekend everyone!

TRU is a blast to work out, 10 months of the year. Its fun interacting with the kiddos! But November and December is a different story. Its hell.

Finishing up Zelda: A Link Between Worlds today -- one dungeon to go!  After that, I think I'll start up on The Last Of Us HD.

What are your thoughts on Sleeping Dogs DE?  I love Sleeping Dogs, but $60 (on PS4 anyway) is a big price tag for an upgrade.  Worth it?

Wait for a really good deal on it. I had it on 360 but I only played it for about 30 minutes. When I played it on PS4 I honestly couldn't tell a difference at all. It doesn't look like much of an upgrade. This is a game that you should just wait to get for like $25 or less. Of all the games moved from last gen to this gen, this has to be the worst. Metro games, TR DE, etc...Those were good and you could tell that it is an upgrade, SD DE not so much. All the same glitches that were reported from 360/ps3 are still here. The PS4 version also crashes a lot which you could read about on various game sites.(Happened to me 7 times)

Thanks for the info.  I'll take your advice and wait on it.
