"Nintendo is including a free stand with all copies of the Kid Icarus: Uprising game for the Nintendo 3DS system. The stand holds the Nintendo 3DS at an angle above any flat surface and provides players with a comfortable option for playing. The game's control scheme was designed to fit the game's unique blend of flight, shooting and melee combat, and offers tremendous precision. Our product testing demonstrated that players found the stand to be comfortable and enjoyable."
Original story follows:
We've said that Kid Icarus Uprising hurt to play from the first time we ever got our hands on it, and Nintendo apparently agrees because they are releasing a stand to rest your 3DS on while you play.
Uprising's Creator Masahiro Sakurai tweeted a photo of the stand, which comes packaged with the game in Japan.
It's an interesting solution for a game that has some fundamental problems, though this solution does provide some new issues, such as making your 3DS not actually portable.
Are you happy with this fix, or does this seem like a stop-gap solution to a problem that should be legitimately addressed?
