As you can see in my photos, the physical amiibo figure is literally the exact same across all regions, including the writing on the bottom of the platform. And they are all region free and will work an any region Wii U.
Wii Fit Trainer doesn't have any unique unlocks or games special to her. Just the respective Smash Bros character and generic unlocks from other games (Hyrule Warriors, Mario Party 10, etc).
It's too bad the supply issues are so rampant on these, because they are actually very high quality figures. The paint/art and modeling is done very well on them, and they all look very nice on my display shelf.
So if you are like me and don't care about all the boxes matching, or you open all your amiibos, this is a fantastic option!

As for the figure, Wii Fit looks great. Her face is certainly better to some of the other human amiibo (I'm looking at you, Marth and Ike). She's also pretty detailed. You can actually see the lines and folds in her tang top and yoga pants. The supportive plastic kind of seems unnecessary. I remember back at E3 2014 where the beta Wii Fit Trainer amiibo (as well as Villager) lacked it. Maybe, it's to make the figure harder to remove from the stand or something?
I'm pretty sure this in the only official Wii Fit merchandise out there. I'd be genuinely surprising if any merchandise that isn't a Wii Fit accessory existed before this. Anyway, if you're a collector or you just want a rare amiibo, why not get one of the rarest?
More importantly, regarding the seller: The package arrived on time and was not tampered with or resealed and only had a single sticker on it, which was simply a tiny generic price tag with the price, in Japanese Yen. This is especially important for someone who keeps their amiibos boxed.

As for the amiibo itself, it functions perfectly with games on the Nintendo Wii U as well as the Nintendo 3DS (however I used one of the older 3DSs with the infrared amiibo reader).
Would definitely do business with again.
