The article itself says Feb 28, but in the title it's 2014/03/28. I don't remember if it was like that from the start or they fixed the mistake everywhere except for that part. :P

They said they would distribute them through Playism.

For all of our fans that picked the game up on Steam, you will get a free Steam key which will appear on your Playism account page.

*Edited to add: To clarify, that was for direct buy. For those that got it from Indie Royale I imagine they'd just distribute there. I don't think they need to add them to Desura since they can also add keys to people's Indie Royale account pages as well.

If I buy a Playism copy for a friend right now, before the Steam release, can they still get a Steam key?

I can confirm that purchasing the game from playism gives a Steam key; I just did it. Buy it (for 1.99 or more) go to "My Account" and it will say One Way Heroics By SmokingWOLF Serial code: xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx and then use "ADD A GAME..." here as normal with that code. It doesn't actually state "Steam", weirdly, but it works here.
