Dungeon Siege

Dungeon Siege

Expansions.
I am considering buying the 50% off deal that is currently on Steam. However I noticed that the expansion packs for 1 and 2 are not listed. Does anyone know if they are included? I have no interest in playing Dungeon Siege III by the way, as I have heard only bad things about it.

They are not, the complete pack is a joke. You still have to buy the expansion cd's (which the expansion for DS1 comes with the base game), and the expansion to DS2 is barely compatible to Steam's version. You have to edit the registry to be able to install the expansion to Steam's DS2. I understand multiplayer is either partially or completely incompatible too.

Yeah, this was a dealbreaker for me.

DS1 you don't really need an xpack, but DS2 you need one since the gaspowered devs left the story hanging once you beat the game. I have the orginal DS: Aranna, DS2: Deluxe Edition, and DS3: Limited Edition....Zonematch was shut down so to playing with other people on DS1/DS2 is kinda bleek.

Needed or not, most people who haven't yet played this game (and many that have) are going to want the expansion since it adds more areas, storyline, and items. To not include these in the complete pack is a slap in the face to gamers. These expansions are not like the lame DLCs you see selling for other games in Steam's store where you can buy a flashier costume or a shotgun that holds 2 more rounds.

Exactly, these expansions were complete new games, that's how "dlc" was back then, kinda sucks this pack doesn't include them.

DS1 includes the expansion, DS2 does not, probably because Broken World mostly just adds tie-ins to the PSP Throne of Agony game...

Are you sure about that?

well you simply can get legends of arrana if you own a retail version of it, install it and well then overwrite the resources/maps folders of your steam version, put the DSLOA folder into the folder as well and rename your DungeonSiege.exe to something else then you just use the DSLOA.exe of Legends of Arrana to start the game per Steam library, no use of "zonematch=true" in start parameters as Multiplayer opens without the "Disabled" Message.

Version of Legends of Arrana is 1.50 also you will see the menu in green then you know you did it right.
