[PSA] Idle Master Helper (Python) Now Available
Idle Master Helper is a small program that will idle all of the games you have which are eligible for card drops and have less than 2 hours of play time. This is done in batches of 25 games at once, and will idle them for 2 hours each. So for example if you have 300 games that are eligible for card drops and have less than 2 hours of play time, it will take 24 hours to idle them up to 2 hours each.

Once this process is completed, you can run Idle Master normally and should receive card drops much faster than waiting two additional hours each.

You can download the program from https://github.com/jshackles/idle_master_py

And the source is here[github.com].

Fill out the settings.txt file according to the instructions[github.com] then launch idle-to-ready.exe.

Awesome tool, thank you jshackles!

Btw all my games are running, but I see this error:

[] The games will run in 0 sets of 25 for 2 hours each
[] This process will take approximately 0 hours
[] Starting batch #1
[] Error starting all games!

Same error as Hamster

Same error, but could one assume some games in the batch would still be idling?

I've made some updates that should correct these issues. You can download the update from the link above.

Idle to Ready is only detecting 1 game, while 2 with card drops were newly added to library.

I tried restarted steam client, double-checking the cookie session strings in settings.txt, and double checking that the games indeed have card drops. No games have been added by me to blacklist.

After restarting everything 15 min later trying to troubleshoot, it now says 0 games with cards & < 2 hours of play, but the 1 game with cards it did detect only has 15 minutes of play. The other game with cards has zero minutes of play time (never detected by ItR).

Edit:

Multiple instances were running (not shutting down at prior closings) but even after killing the instances and restarting it still thinks I have no games with less than 2 hours and cards remaining.

I downloaded the py version after the update reply above, so it should be the latest.

Awesome

Edit: so if 25 windows pop up suddenly this is working as intended?

So if im understanding this correctly:
- you cannot stop the idling and then restart? as for it seems to start from beginning
- hours played for games isnt showing on the profile page? can one still assume they have been idled?

1. Yep. It seems to search all games with card drops that have less than 2 hours playtime and run those games for two hours each.
2. I think the playtime should be shown on the profile page. The games that I have idled with this have exactly two hours of playtime (check the recent games tab).

Am, i idled for 2,2 hours, but the next batch didn`t start, and now if i restarted the master, it starts the same games with 2,2hrs game time. Guess its a bug. i tried different sorting options it doesnt seem to help, neither hasGameTime = true, also now it seems to find 30 games less then IdleMaster for some reason, oh! maybe it realizes that some of them already have 2,2hrs, but it starts them anyway.

I have the same problem. I let it run for 2 hours, and when those 2 hours were over the program closed itself. I restarted it, but it started the same games as before.

i left it again tonight, and although it started with games over 2hrs, it went through all the cicles. No idea what was the problem, but it didnt close for me the first time, just continued with the first batch.
