This game exceeded all my expectations for it.
The feel it maintains throughout was fantastic.

I actually took my time to experience the game like it would occur in a movie because it was just that good!

So much effort has been put into this game to provide the right feel - from the music, the art direction, the writing, the story...

I really felt like I was walking around in a small town - at times things felt carefree and I felt nostalgia for a life I never even lived before.

There are so many moments in this game where you'll find yourself just taking the time to soak it all in... whether it's when Max sits on her coach to play her guitar along side her stereo, or the times when she sits down to reflect on what's happened to her so far.

The music and art direction, again, are top notch. The developers did well to create poignant vignettes that will stay with you for a long, long time.

I felt myself tremendously moved by the writing and the narrative.... I was especially touched by the idea that your words - your actions can have a major impact on other peoples' lives... and in turn on yours as well.
The time-manipulation mechanic at first may seem like a gimmick, but it's actually one that helps underscore that theme.

There is a particular section of the game where I couldn't stop crying... once you play the game, you will understand why. It places you in a tough ethical decision - one that many people face in the world today... feeling what it would be like in someone's shoes in that situation, and how difficult it is to know what is the right thing to do... this game does it perfectly.

Another theme the game goes into is the idea that there are always more than one side to a story. Not everything is black and white. This is a very important life lesson for all of us... there are reasons why people are the way they are - and being able to see how someone became that way is one of the foundations of empathy.

But by far the most moving for me was seeing how Max's true power wasn't her ability to manipulate time, or travel through time.... it was her friendship. Her empathy for the people around her (even for those who might not deserve it) is truly heartwarming. Essentially, she exemplifies the best of what humanity could be.

It's going to sound stupid saying this, but this is one of those types of games that can really change the type of person you are (or the type of person you will become)

For someone who's been trying to improve his outlook on life recently, I really appreciate this work of art =).

Best game of my life.
