I mostly bought this headset for use in phone conferences when I work from home (using a regular cordless or mobile phone) and also as a PC headset. I bought jack converters for 2.5mm and 3.5mm. Have used the headset with 2 different cordless phones, my iPhone and a PC.

The audio quality on the ear phones is good, the mic quality is excellent (as reported by phone conference participants) and the earphones themselves are comfortable, even on long conferences (4+ hours).

Two things I'd like to see improve:

-The headband is sized for giants. I'm 6' tall and 260 lbs. The headset falls of my head easily.
-Since it was designed primarily as a PC gaming headset, the cord is way long for phone use. Can't dig the design, but something I didn't realize when I ordered it. So maybe the documentation should be improved.

If the headband were smaller or adjustable, I'd be very happy with it.

Just picked up these headphones last week from Amazon such they were at such a good price and I had been looking for a decent pair of headphones in the market for quite some time. I've looked at the G35, G930, and Razer Megalodon while those looked nice at first there was a lot of negative reviews towards their construction/software/sound related issues. These Sennheisers while they are a bit expensive are definitely worth the price. First off, the comfort on these headphones are unreal. The top provides comfort for your head and the earcups are XL and fit perfectly around your ear. I've owned quite a few headsets in the past and these are by far the most comfortable and they are lightweight. You won't feel pain from long gaming sessions which is a plus. The sound quality on these is also quite stellar as well, Sennheiser is well-known for the sound on their headsets. I can pick up sounds on my games/movies very well and clear with the 3-D surround sound. The construction on these is also pretty good, they are built very durable as I have dropped mine a few times without any parts being damaged or breaking. The only complaint I really have about these is that the bass isn't great, I don't mean that it's terrible but it's not like some Beats by Dre headphones but really that's a minor complaint because these were designed as gaming headphones and serve that purpose very well. These also come with a relatively long cable (10 ft. I believe) and a round thing that allows you to wrap the cables around it if the cables are too long for you which is pretty nice. Overall, my purchase was money well-spent and I would highly recommend you guys check out these headphones.

This is certainly not a good item, so I returned it. It is heavy. The material used for the earcups is somewhat rough and does not feel comfortable. The sound is good. However, even though headphones are supposedly to keep others from hearing what you are listening to, the isolation is bad and someone standing next to you can hear every word that comes through the headphone. Not a good word for this item!

I really don't understand why everyone is so positive on these headphones. I own several headsets, from cheap lightweight Radio Shack specials to full-on AKG open-ear headphones I use for doing home studio work. These are one of the most uncomfortable sets of headphones I've ever encountered. They don't conform to the head well at all. They're pretty heavy for their size, and the pressure on the outer edges of the ear is very uncomfortable. If you wear glasses, they will press your ears uncomfortably against them.

Sound quality is average. Nothing like my AKGs.

I'm surprise, really. Maybe Sennheiser doesn't make the same quality as they used to.

After owning at least three of each of Logitech's past hundred thousand generations of $10 Wal-Mart headsets, I finally decided it was time to hunker down and buy a real one. I'm glad I did. After having used the headset for several months now, I can share the following experiences:

The product name for this headset is misleading. This is not a USB headset in the normal sense of the word. You can use it via usb, but in order to do so, you must use the included adapter, which acts as a sound card. This means the headset will have its own volume mixer within Windows. I found it extremely annoying trying to keep this mixer in balance with my default mixer due to different volume levels between games, movies, etc. There is an alternative, though. You can use this device with normal pink / green analog connectors. Doing so will retain the full functionality of a headset while eliminating the annoyance of the addon sound card.

The headset is very comfortable when worn without glasses. I can wear it for hours on end without discomfort. This brings my headset inline with my regular high-end cans. I can wear one or the other all day depending on my need for voice. When wearing my glasses, the headphones put enough pressure on the side of my head to cause my glasses to dig a bit into my temples. It's not enough to hurt, but it does get uncomfortable after an hour or two. This could be something that would resolve itself in time as the headphones "mold" to the shape of the glasses, though, as I rarely wear my glasses when at the computer. I'm nearsighted.

The quality on the mic is fine. It's hardly amazing by any standard, but your voice will go through crisp, clear, and without distortion. More importantly is mic volume: while other mics I've used have lacked sufficient amp power to let your voice be a voice rather than something of a whisper, this one worked well right out of the box. No more dealing with "Turn your mix up!" and "Stop talking, your mic is breaking up," requests in Vent or online games.

The sound quality of the headphones is above average as well, as far as headsets go. I personally wouldn't use this to listen to music--it seems to play back gunshots and explosions far better than harmonies and melodies for some peculiar reason--but for gaming it does a grand job at sound placement and such. I'm able to tell well enough where enemies are from the sound alone. Though hardly a first in the headphone world in general, this is something I haven't been able to find in a headset until I bought this unit. There very well may be others--just none in my price range. And though I said I personally wouldn't listen to music with this thing, there's really no reason you can't. It sounds good. Just not as good as I like it to sound.

For final notes, the volume dial is marked with a curved line rather than numbers or the like, making volume adjustment something of a guessing game if you don't already have sound playing. This is annoying to me, but this is probably a personal preference. Also, my cat likes to sit on my lap and chew on the plastic shirt clip. When he gets bored with that or I make him stop, he sometimes walks up onto my desk directly in front of the monitor, plops down in an upright sitting position so as to block as much of the screen as possible, and watches whatever I'm playing. He can do this for hours if I don't throw him down. This never happens when not using the headset, and it never happened before receiving it. Therefore, the headset is hypnotizing my cat. Beware pet owners!

Overall a great buy considering the money I will save by not having to buy a new $10-$20 headset every 6 months. It's holding up very well and looks like it will last a good long while, provided my cat doesn't eat it.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic quality headphones, excellent microphone
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 27, 2012
I am using a talk to type program to write this review through the headphones themselves. The sound quality is amazing as you would expect from this make but I would suggest it is even better than my previous pair. They are incredibly lightweight and therefore very comfortable to wear for long periods. The microphone is excellent at picking up your words clearly (which is very important with this software) and the noise cancelling feature appears to work very well. Whether you are buying them for listening to music or for videoconferencing/gaming on your PC I would highly recommend them.
