Its an adaptor cable that comes out of a laptop S-Video port and gets converted into RGB component jacks for the TV. Can't get more exited about a adaptor that does it's job, than that really.
If you're looking for a product to convert S-Video output to component (RGB) input, this isn't it. The S-Video plug is some kind of variant with 7 pins - I don't know what products use this configuration, but it is not standard and will not work with your home theater components.
Works well with my early version HD TV that has only component inputs. This cable is made for some computer video cards that output to Component Video.
