This game is awesome! But first on the physical condition of this product. The outer sleeve for this game was a little scratched up but I guess this was due to packaging. The game disc has a few slight scratches on it which sometimes my Xbox 360 can't read because of it. I don't remember which vendor I bought it from but I guess it was the luck of the draw. The physical conditions didn't detract from the game itself too much. I just like my stuff to be in very good condition and scratches like that just irks me.

The storyline for The Force Unleashed II feels a little too short for a game of this epicness, but overall the user interface is an improvement over the first. I should note that I've played the first game and this second one on the Wii first before buying the Collector's Edition for the Xbox 360. The Xbox version is steps beyond the Wii version overall. There are both pros and cons for each platform. The Wii versions were of course is more interactive but the Xbox 360 version looks much more gorgeous and fluid on the big screen. I am primarily a computer gamer and I have played SWTFU: Ultimate Sith Edition on Windows. The console versions of course doesn't allow the fine tuning of the settings like in the computer versions, but this game still feels pretty nice playing on my 42" TV via either HDMI or RCA cables. There are also some differences in the gameplay for the core game excluding the extras between the Wii and Xbox 360 versions. Overall the Xbox version adds to the Wii version so if you have already played the regular version on the Wii, getting the Xbox version will feel like a "director's cut" of the Wii version.

The first Force Unleashed was an impressive game, but this just blows it away. I highly recommend this game for anyone who has played the first one. The graphics are phenomenal and the story is in depth enough to really immerse you into the Star Wars universe for the time you are playing as Starkiller. Darth Vaders failed experiment who struggles with what to do about his friends and the empire. I have had a lot of fun force gripping storm troopers, then shocking them while in the air and then throwing them screaming over a ledge. It's great fun for anyone who loves Star Wars, RPGs and any action/adventure game.

I must make a special note that I ordered the collector's edition, obviously. I got this copy of the game for 25 dollars from a seller on Amazon. If you paid more than 35 then you for ripped off. Just a note for those who are looking to purchase. Get it while it's cheap! This package comes with a lot of software and a lot of play time. You also get a 2 GB USB Flash Drive that's shaped like the main character. It has all kinds of bonus content for you to look at. GET THIS GAME! :D

I enjoyed the first game and I enjoyed this one too. The mechanics are more or less the same as they were in the first game, with a few minor differences: there seem to be more saber combo variations and it seems to take less time to do fully charged force attacks. The bigger differences are the story (obviously), some new enemies (spider bots & the "Terror" enemy variants), and Force Fury.

Regarding claims that Force Fury makes the game too easy: on the harder difficulties, a well-timed Fury can be the difference between life and death, but even if you do use it strategically, you're likely to die at least a few times. On lower difficulties, the game is very easy for the duration of your Fury, but if you're looking for a challenge, then you shouldn't be playing on a low difficulty setting (if you still think Fury makes the game too easy, just don't use it). I hoarded my Fury on my first play-through, but used it as often as I could on subsequent plays (it's a blast when messing around).

Regarding omplaints that the game is short: this may be a Star Wars game, but it's still a hack 'n' slash/action game and games of this genre are always somewhat short(Dante's Inferno is a great game with high reviews, but it took me about the same amount of time to beat on my first play-through). Those who've said the game only takes 4 hours either exaggerated or rushed through it (in which case, you can't really complain about the shortness); my first play-through was about 9 hours on medium difficulty and that was without hunting down all the holocrons (I think I found all but 5 without really looking for them).

I really only had 2 problems with this game: the first is that some of the challenges are just dull (ie, the ones where you just dash to the finish) and the tank-breaking challenge (#9, I think) has a forced camera angle that's kind of awkward (which was annoying); the second was a bug in the DLC that caused the fight to get stuck & not proceed to the final stage - the boss just kept jumping around, taking damage, & not attacking me (but the DLC is only $1 and I was able to fix this by using costume select to revert to the beginning of the 2nd stage of the fight).

The Collector's Edition is currently only $10 more than the standard, which I think is worth it. For me the flash drive is more of a novelty (I've already got 8GB & 16GB drives), but I do use it occasionally. Buying a 2GB Star Wars drive directly from Mimobot would cost you at least $39. If you don't want the drive, you could sell it (the Starkiller drives generally go for $20 on ebay, meaning you'd wind up having the metal case & DLC for $10 less than the standard edition).
