My son loves it. It works even with galaxy tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi, Sound quality is great , you don't need any extra cables to put on the back of your console , will work straight form control with little plug adaptor that snug to the controller. Also you can plug the mini plug to a tablet or a cell phone and even use the mic.

Worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Turtle Beach headset for my son, who told me that they were the best. Well, after getting them and trying them out, I bought another set because they are pretty amazing. Well worth the money!

Works great but drains controller batteries
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was waiting for the right deal when upgrading from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One and finally found it when Best Buy was offering this headset for free with the purchase of the Xbox One Master Chief Collection. I always knew I was eventually going to get a headset like this upon upgrading systems so this was the perfect opportunity for me to upgrade. I have an older Turtle Beach headset I had used with my 360 for years so I knew this would be a good choice in terms of headsets for the Xbox One. As expected due to the simple difference in age between this headset and my old one, this headset is far superior in terms of functionality. It is listed as a "Wired" headset but it should be noted that the only wire you have to worry about is the wire that runs from the headset to your controller. My old Turtle Beach wired headset for my 360 also had to be plugged into one of the USB ports on the 360 itself whereas that is no longer needed for the Ear Force XO ONE. The only drawback of this feature is that this new headset draws its power directly from your controller which tends to really drain the batteries much faster than simply using the controller without the headset. I haven't invested in a play and charge kit or any of the rechargeable batteries available for the Xbox One controllers yet so this is all based on the use of standard AA batteries. Aside from the battery issue, this really is a great headset. The sound quality is fantastic and the additional features are great. This type of headset is great for times when you are playing later at night when others are likely sleeping because it allows you to turn the volume all the way down on your TV since you get all of the sound directly through the headset. Overall, this is a great headset that I was able to get as part of a really good deal. Just beware of the fact that your controller's batteries will not last nearly as long as they otherwise would without the use of this headset. I suggest using the headset sparingly by using it mainly during the times when it would be most beneficial such as late at night.

Excellent headset for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset has fit my needs perfectly when playing on my xb1. The volume controls and chat/game mixer works great. No complaints from other players about the mic. The price for the quality is really fantastic. The materials all feel nice while wearing the headset. Extended sessions can get a little warm since the earcups don't have much ventilation. It has a nice weight to it that is not too heavy, but you are aware it's still there. The removable mic is a great touch, although it can be tricky to get back in when you are trying to reattach it while wearing. The sound quality is excellent, but I will say this is my first aftermarket headset purchase so I don't have experience with others to compare it to. I'm not sure I will be able to back to gaming without a headset now. If you are a pvp player it is especially helpful while stalking opponents and preventing flanking/ambushes. There are lots of audio subtleties in my games that I was missing out on before. One downside is this headset reduces battery life in the controller significantly since it doesn't have it's own power. Just make sure to keep an extra pair of batteries around so you don't get caught with a dead controller during a heated battle. :)

Great Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Xbox One controllers don't have the 3.5 mm headset jack so I needed to either purchase a new controller, an adapter, or a headset that had one. With an adapter costing $25 by itself and still wanting a new headset it made sense to go with this product. Pros: Can be used with my first gen Xbox One controllers Works with my phone Great sound quality Great chat quality Comfortable Cons: Cord is too short If you need a headset and adapter for the first generation Xbox One controller - this is the way to go.

Better than the xo four
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these AFTER purchasing and returning the xo fours. For less money your get a much more comfortable headset and an easier to use adapter. It balances the game and chat noise so if one goes up the other comes down and vice versa which is great if you're like me and you like to chat with friends when you're all playing at the same time. Also the padding on the ear cuffs is outstandingly comfortable. Coming from the rough and not soft AT ALL xo fours these felt like a cloud in comparison. O can play comfortably for hours with this headset. The mic is easily adjustable qhere the xo four was very stiff. There is a talk back feature in which your voice plays in your ears also to prevent over projecting or even yelling into the mic. The only draw back of these is that the bass is not as rich or as deep as the xo fours even with the addictionary bass boost button. This is such a minute factor considering just how incredibly uncomfortable the xo fours are. If you're debating between these and the xo fours just go with the "cheap ones" and be comfortable forever or go up to the xo sevens and get the full experience. AVOID THE XO FOURS!

Q: Questionplug-in specification/clarificationSo if anyone is familiar with the Xbox 360 earforce x12 you will know that you must plug in 1 USB to any outlet to power the headset, you must plug in an audio receiver (audio jack) to an audio transmitter (audio out) and then finally a cord into you controller to talk on the MIC. What are the necessary plugins required to make this headset work to its fullest? Thank you and sorry if I was unclear about anything.
Asked by K-Man.
- A:Answer You only have to plug the headset into the wireless controller to get game audio and voice chat.

Q: QuestionAround or on the ears?I keep reading different reviews some saying they will cover your ears and others say it sits on the ears. Guessing it depends on the size of your ears? I'm just trying to find out what the majority say. Thank you
Asked by Map219.
- A:Answer I am a normal eared human and they fit over my ears perfectly. Although, I can see how those humans with ears larger than mine might find the earphones not fitting well.

Q: QuestionIs there a one-click mute function?I'd like to know if there's an easy mute button on the headset?
Asked by spark2.
- A:Answer On the (included) Audio Adapter that connects to the controller, there is a Microphone mute button. If are looking to mute the earphones, I have not seen any way to do that (aside from unplugging it from the controller)
