Best place to sell your used games (SoCal)?

CAGiversary!
I have a ebgames/gamestop nearyby but I was wondering if their prices are really that good. I guess they give you a little extra if you choose credit vs cash. But, anyone in southern cali have better luck elsewhere? I live in San Diego but I frequently visit LA. I guess there's blockbuster/gamerush and gamecrazy. Also, one of my games is brand new but I don't have a reciept. Gamestop says they don't care and will only give credit as if it's used. Any place take that into consideration? Thanks.

Your best option is ebay or CAG. However, if you don't have access to that (or don't have the patience to wait for it to sell), there are a couple of places depending on the games. Gamecrazy is better than EB/GS. Also, Blockbuster/Gamerush is usually pretty good too. The problem with BB is that their selection of games to use the credit on usually sucks. There are also a few independent places that you could trade stuff into. Game ADX in Carlsbad/Ocean Beach has a pretty good store. Not sure about their trade in prices, but you might wanna check it out (it's right off the I-5 and 78).

If you're looking just for cash, EB/GS and FYE (and all it's partner companies) are the only places that give cash for trade-ins, but at 20% less than what they would give credit for. I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you're REALLY strapped for cash.

I was fed up with getting diddly squat for selling my games to EB Games/Gamestop. Last November I found goozex.com and have since been reinvigorated with the idea that used games are worth something. It's more of a trading site as you don't get cash for your games, but rather points (or credits), which you can use to select other games. I've since sent out about 30 games on various platforms (everything from PC to GBA) and have been playing all kinds of games I would have never bothered to purchase. I love the premise and it's pretty easy to use. You don't get the instant satisfaction of getting your game that day, as when you request a game goozex hooks you up with another gamer who is offering to ship that game from their library, and then they have to mail it to you. It usually takes about a week to get your game. The game requestor pays a dollar to goozex for the service and is charged points for the transaction, and the sender pays for the shipping of the game and receives the points for the transaction. I really like the premise, and haven't had any problems whatsoever with the service. I'd highly recommend it.
