How much should I save up to get a decent Wii bundle?

I finally think I'm just gonna break down and get a Wii. I need some help though. I don't know how much the total cost would be, or what I would exactly need. Of course the system. I also want another controller (to play against a friend), and 2 games (one Sonic and other I'm not sure, but maybe just 2 games in general). How much would this run me? What would any of you suggest to get when buying a Wii? (accessories, games, etc).

I was looking on craiglist and there seemed to be some ok stuff. Is it reliable?

Thanks for any help.

You're going to be looking at a retail cost of system + extra controller + extra nunchuk (needed for some games, not for others) + two games = $250 + $40 + $20 + $100 = $410. Actually, just get Wii Play in place of the extra controller (it comes with one) for an extra $10. So that'd give you the above with another tech demo for $420 (and Tanks! alone makes it worth that extra $10). If you have any interest in the Virtual Console, grab a $20 classic controller as well. Not required by all games, but very nice.

As far as games, tell us what interests you and we can make recommendations. Or I can just tell you what games I consider to be worth buying at somewhere near full price right now:

Zelda: TP
Trauma Center
Super Paper Mario
Godfather
SSX Blur
Sonic
Madden (wait for 08 at this point)

So the nunchuk is not used for all games? Is the "classic" controller just for VC? And tha main controller is the remote one right? I really am not in the loop with the Wii, LOL.

I'm really interested in Sonic and Paper Mario. I've been dying to play the Sonic game, and I am a huge fan of the Paper mario series.

And from my understanding the Wii comes with Wii sports right?

I would probably go the ebay or craigslist route rather than Gamestop/BB/whatever/

The remote is used in some way by everything - even if a game is controlled by the classic controller (which is the case in a few games), it plugs into the remote. Of the games I listed, Super Paper Mario and Sonic use only the remote, while the rest also require the nunchuk. The little images on the back of the box (which you will be familiar with if you played GC games, showing how many players each game supported) show you what you need. It's a little confusing, but not bad. Here's a link to Zelda's cover, so you can see the remote and nunchuk in the top right of the back cover: http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=1403

So no, the classic controller is not just for VC games, but that's its main selling point.

The Wii box comes with the system, controller, nunchuk, and Wii Sports (and stand, sensor bar, cables, etc).

If you can find a decent deal based on those costs, more power to you on the internet. If you wanted to go retail, it'd probably be a bit of work to find one yet.

It's better on Cube

I'm waiting until something more than just lousy minigame compilations are out for it.

Kororinpa is the only must have game I see for the system

I've been watching ebay and seen Wiis going for like 135 plus $35 shipping, with only like two hours left. Has anyone scored like this before?
