I know this sale has happened before, but I got a new flyer from Microcenter today and there is a 20-50% sale on Xbox and Gamecube games. I think it was just Xbox previously and actually I didn't think the last one had an end date. The sale runs May 14th to June 3rd. As before, it says, "Pricing reflects savings off original price. Intermediate mardowns may have been taken." This time they actually listed some prices.

No Gamecube prices were listed. These aren't the most exciting deals in the world, but someone may be interested in some of these. The most encouraging thing is that many prices are in the ten buck range. Good luck to those few who have one of the 20 B&Ms in their area. I didn't see mention of this applying to the website as well and I'm pretty sure that it did not last time they did this.

If the POTC game is the Legend Of Jack Sparrow one, then that's a craptastic deal on it, since it's a shitty game to begin with. And 25 To Life is available elsewhere for cheaper($30+ for it is WAYYYY too much for the reviews it received).
 
Yeah, the listed games pretty much suck hard except for the outdated basketball game, and maybe head coach, bloodrayne and ten hammers and thps4 which is vintage. I would almost get bloodrayne and head coach, but the Gamerush and best buy clearances stacked my backlog beyond belief so no reaching for deals for me. Ten Hammers is worth it, but I got it for 5 at a BB which still has some from the clearance believe it or not. I'm hoping to stop by MC tomorrow to see how the rest of the "deals" look.
 
If this is the same items on clearance as the last time I was there, it's not worth the trip.

My store's GameCube selection was CRAP - at least half of it was copies of the third X-Men movie's game. The only game that was worth buying was Timesplitters 2, which I got for $6.xx.

That said, I might go check in again. After all, it can't hurt... ;)

So...is this ALL Gamecube and XBox games, or SELECT Gamecube and XBox games? Will make a difference whether or not I go running out there at lunch.

Flyer states:

From that I take it that not ALL Xbox and Gamecube games are on sale. I'll definitely look on my way to work this afternoon, but my hopes aren't high.

So were Gamecube games in their last sale like this?

Also their advertised price for 1600 MS Points is 24.99? Are they serious with that?
 
Finally got out to my MC and to be honest they had a lot of games marked down. Most of the games were actually cheaper than the flyer as they were 6.xx to 8.xx instead. BR2 was 8.4x and thps4 was 6.xx. It's really very YMMV to be honest as it depends which games you missed earlier and would like to get cheap now as well as what they have (mine had a lot) and what is marked down. Most games over a year or two old were slashed, but Best of PH games were 14.99 instead of 9.99!!! Halo 1 and 2 were still 19.99 and 29.99 respectively. Like I said most slashed games were $6-8, but you probably already have them if you really wanted them.

Gamecube was even less exciting. My MC had much less Gamecube games and the slashed prices were not very noteworthy.

It may be worth your trip if your nearby and looking for some older games you missed.
