Wii a health hazard.....

My elbow bothers me if I play too much tennis or baseball. Though not an issue as I seldom fire up wii sports anymore.

Doesn't bother me at all playing real tennis, guess it's because a racket has weight to it and your actually hitting something, rather than just swinging around with a little Wiimote in your hands.

Still, certainly no cause for lawsuits etc.
Soon the lawsuits will be coming in.....
They were on day 1.

People were trying to sue for dislocated everythings and busted TV's hours after having a Wii. These are the same people they have lebels for that tell you things like "Do not swing wiimote into face" or "Do not place Wiimote in anal passage". It's an ambulance chasers dream. And all the "sue crazy" people's time to shine.

I'm sure they'll play up Wiiitis as much as they can, but neglect stories about how hospitals are starting to buy them for rehab clinics.
We all should have known that one day even exercise would be deemed bad for your health.
Only in America.

I'm seeing the commercials now... "Have you or a loved one suffered from a Wii related injury? We can help. Call the law offices of Bullcrap and Bullcrap today."

Only in America is right :p

The extension "-itis" means inflammation of.

Am I the only one that finds it utterly hilarious that the guy's name in that article is BONIS? Dr. BONIS, even. I think I am, because I shared my excitement with my wife and she gave me the "I'm about to bitchslap you" look.

I really LOL'ed at this - probably because I get the same exact looks from my wife...constantly.

Thanks for being so understanding, dude... As long as it's just a look, it's okay. But sometimes, man... I fear.

I fear.

My buddy had just gotten out of Marine bootcamp and played the Wii. The next day his arm/shoulder was really sore.

It's just because your body isn't used to doing the motions, and you are doing them without a lot of resistance. If you do it enough your body adjusts and isn't sore any more.

Ever heard of carpal tunnel? The thing you can get using a regular controller or a mouse? Everything has its "health issue".
