I'm not sure if this was ever brought up here but I just got around to playing through this. I thought it was pretty damn good. It has an isometric view and was different from its console counterparts. There were a few boards that seemed to actually have some difficulty as well because you would have to start the board over when you die rather than pick up where you left off. The cutscenes were perfect as well (lego snapshots of the important scenes) much like the other games. There wasn't any pod racing or any vehicle boards.
I know the DS version of Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy was pretty buggy and poor so if you want a good handheld version play through this one. I hope they don't screw up the new DS game as it is said to be a from the ground up version and not based on the console versions. I think it will be released along side the complete saga games.
