My auctions for PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Xbox, Gamecube and Saturn stuff

I thought I read that we're allowed one bump a day. If so, here's my first bump, if not... er, sorry, lemme know and I won't do it again. Anyhow, still lots of things with no bids.

Couple quick questions -

Is the d-pad on that ASCII pad the same as the DC version? (This is a stupid question, but I just wanna make sure.) I love how the d-pad on the DC ASCII pad is loose and elevated. I could use one of those for my PS2.

And do you happen to know which version of Mark of the Wolves is the best, or if there are any major differences between the different versions other than bonus stuff? I don't have a good controller for my PS2, so I rather just get the DC version.... but which one is better, US or Import?

Thanks for any answers you can give me. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on that ASCII pad and some of those DC fighters.

As far as I know, the D-pad on the ASCII pad is the same between the DC and PS2 versions. I had DC ones for awhile (until I got convertors for Saturns pads) and from what I recall, they felt pretty similar. The pad is elevated and loose. I actually used it a couple days ago for the first time in years to ensure that it still worked and while it takes some getting used to after using sticks and PS2 Saturn pads, it seems like it would work well. Honestly, if someone wins it and totally hates it, I'd allow a return (especially to a fellow CAGer).

The best port of Mark of the Wolves is probably the newish JP release from a year or two ago for the PS2. Between US and Japanese DC versions, I'm not sure. I'll play it later today and post some impressions here. Some things (like missing blood and/or animation) should be immediately evident.

After comparing the US DC version of MOTW and the JP PS2 version I'd say they're fairly similar. The PS2 version has slightly cleaner graphics but in terms of animation, they both seem to be about the same. Also it seems that it's pretty much a bloodless game, unlike Samurai Spirits, there doesn't seem to be much to censor. There were no instances that I saw anyone draw blood either version. I can't comment on much beyond that because I'm not an expert at MOTW. There may well be combos that exist in one version that do not in the other.

If anyone else out there knows more about MOTW and would care to comment, feel free. I'm holding onto the JP version because it came with that lovely, special Neo Geo stick. The DC version became redundant after I got that.

Cool, thanks. I'm hoping to get the pad for under $40, then I'll just import Garou for the PS2. It also means more bids I can place on SSFIIX and KoF Evo. :)

Thanks again for the help.

Free bump because there's so much great stuff in there. I had no idea MvC1 for the PS was that sought after. I might bite on the KOF Best Collection and the SamSho collection.
Dead or Alive is very tempting, any shipping discounts for CAG'ers? :p
I think my shipping rates are pretty reasonable, there are jerkholes on eBay that try and charge 8-10 bucks to ship one CD. Off the top of my head, I think sending one CD/DVD in a padded envelope or box via First Class USPS with insurance is a little over four dollars to anywhere in the US. I added in the cost of packing materials and came up with $4.95 for one item with the $1 extra per each additional item.

I'm open to suggestions from people here about different shipping options within the USPS but I won't ship without delivery confirmation and insurance (except for international orders where it becomes prohibatively expensive).

Anyhow, talk to you all later.

Those are definitely reasonable shipping prices. I've been shipping quite a few games lately and it usually comes out to ~$4-5 with DC/insurance.

It's reasonable, I was just pushing to see if I can budge. As a buyer, I'm looking to save cash. In your position as seller, you are looking to make money. It's purely mutual. :D

I did put DOA under watch though, I might bid towards the end.

Personally, I'd nix his bid... you know the auction will end high so no point in taking a risk. Also, I'd block him too in case he bids again in the last minutes.

This is probably my final bump, there are only 5 hours left on some things, everything will be over by late tonight. I'll try to get to questions on ebay but I have school today so there will be a window in which I'm unavailable.

Wow. I can't believe I missed that KoF auction. That guy got a real nice deal. If that guy that won the ASCII pad happens to not like the controller (doubt it), let me know. :)

The KoF Evolution auction? That one ended lower than I expected. KoF 99 for PSX is a piece of crap, I'm just happy it's gone. Or will be soon.

I'm hoping the guy that won the controller keeps it, he's in France. As much as I appreciate eBay as a source to sell games, it's kind of a headache. Once all this is over I won't get on there for quite awhile I'm sure.

Wow, France? I guess if you only shipped in the US, I would've had a chance at winning. And yeah, I meant the DC one. I didn't realize you had it for the PS1 too.

Payment has been sent. I won 2 auctions (Dino Crisis & Last Blade 2). If the bidder on Super Street Fighter II X backs out or flakes let me know. Thank you.
