CAGiversary!
Last week I saw something in the Best Buy flyer about double Reward Zone points and a $10 "Entertainment certificate" for every $100 you spend on music, movies, and games until some date in September. I lost the flyer.

All I can confirm is $10 for every $100 purchase in those categories (including PC games and next-generation movies! w00t) and some kind of $10 offer for taking the survey in addition to that. It's only for Reward Zone members and it's only when you confirm your email address online at myrewardzone.com. The details online say that it ends on August 25th, so if someone still has last week's flyer, I'd like to confirm that. The ad said to "see page 27" or something for details and I read there that it involved taking some kind of survey (though I did not see the other $10 offer). The double RZ points thing appears to have been last week's deal or something, but I believe the ad worded it like both promotions continued until September. Confirm?

The additional $10 thing was kind of confusing. I figured that I'd read the details after taking the survey that was offered during sign-up, but it timed out while I was taking it and when I logged back in the offer detailing it was gone (type your comments fast!). Underneath a chart showing my total of qualifying purchase amounts for this promo, I did have the option to take the survey again. Upon completion, it looks like it just added $10 to my total purchase amount as if I had spent $10 and only needed $90 more to get my first $10 Entertainment certificate. When first reading it I remember wondering how that could possibly mean anything else than you getting $10 to spend in the store, so if someone could copy the exact offer details BEFORE taking the survey, I'd be much appreciative (the expanded details are only shown after logging in and it is customized away because I already signed up). I guess it is like giving you $10 if you have to spend $10 less to get to the $100 qualifying mark.

Gawd. Sorry guys, expect this to be clearer once I get more clarification. Hope this does the trick.

I've been searching for a thread to clarify it for myself and been unable to find one. I guess that's reason enough to have one. Oh, and it's not even mentioned in this week's ad (I have it). It's impossible to search thread titles for "Best Buy", "Best", or "BB" (I tried), so YOU find it for me. ;) I even searched the forst three pages of the deal forum for "BB" and "Best" and found no weekly or relevant deal. How long has the promo been going on? I put off several purchases I would have made last week and earlier this week until I could get signed up, but I didn't realize that purchases from before that could have been used too.

Yeah, they've had that deal going for a while. I bought GH2 (for 360) along with something else back in May, and got a $10 gift cert. plus the RZ points. I later used those points to get a recharchable MS controller pack.

I bought some games online and registered for the promo afterwards. Is there any way to get the games to count towards the promo?

It started on the first of this month. I read every ad and I never noticed it advertised until last week. My brother threw away the ad.
mtxbass1 was saying that this is detailed in every weekly deals thread. For example: Target / CC / BB Video Game Prices: 7/22/07 - 7/28/07 ** Uber Thread **

Weekly deals threads are always stickied at the top of the forum, and arguably the most read posts.
Yeah, I figured that out but my Internet connection went out while I was trying to mention it. I previously glossed over that assuming that it was a repository for pricing information and price changes contributed by employees (vgtalk.com used to have something like that). Anyway, I'd still like a peek at last week's ad to see if I can get them to stick to that double points thing that I remember reading. Hopefully it wasn't just my imagination!

Both as of right now, stickied.

Stuff you buy will count for both the Summer Entertainment Points and the regular RZ Points.
I guess that's where the "double points" thing comes in. It sure seemed to me like it was worded as double points plus $10 for every $100 spent. I sure hope they slipped up on the wording and can be held to it. ;)

Yeah. Buy them again and return them with the old receipt. Hopefully the price didn't go back up. ;)
