yeah... looking for sub-$100, around $70-$80 if possible

I want it to be able to play avi/mpg vids and whatnot, or at least be able to play DVD-Rs (I wanna watch vids from Youtube)

Need it to get through six-hour trips I'll be having in the coming years

If it's impossible to find one like that for that price, just tell me

I'm not sure if any of the portable DVD players can hold 6 hours of charge. I have a Philips PET724, it plays avi, mpg, and VCD as well as DVD-Rs. The battery lasts about 3 hours. Screen quality isn't the best, but you can plug external devices like video game systems into the unit and use the 7" LCD as a display to play games on. You can easily buy this on eBay for $50 - $70. Or google it for under $100 in online stores.

I have a panasonic. It retailed at like $450 a few years ago. Has an SD card slot etc. We used it for our trips over a two year period (~6 trips) its in great shape. There are a few rub marks from the storage case rubbing on the finish. I can get pics etc. I would be in your price range if you want. Other than the rub marks it works perfectly... there is no damage its just a bit of the painted finish that has wore.

It is complete with box etc... Here is an amazon page for it. All I could find were batteries for it on ebay:

The one thing I will say is the viewing angle is superb and the visual quality is top notch on this thing. We had a few others and visually they couldn't hold a candle to this player..

It says it plays these formats:
DVD-RAM, DVD-R video playback; MP3, CD-R, CD-RW audio compatibility
Includes a composite-video input for viewing a camcorder or VCR and an SD card slot

The other thing thats nice is the screen folds down upon itself to make it flat or adjust the viewing angle.

Anyway I would need close to $100 plus shipping for it. I am listing it on ebay after this weekend. We just picked up a laptop and will use that for movies in the future.

PM me or let me know.

Thanks

check this coming sundays ads. i always see those things advertiesed all over the place and most dont go over the 100 mark.

I bought my parents a Zenith DVD Player at BB for like 89.99. Zenith is a decent brand for the price. I've seen them advertise that Zenith about once or twice a month in the BB circular.
