did i get a free edge card today?

im confused.
i went to GAMESTOP today....
traded in Wii play, Katamari Damacy, MLB 06 the SHOW(PSP)
got $25.30 after 10% thing.
somehow got $6 for MLB 06 the show(Wtf this game is like 2 years old)

anyways the guy hands me a card with the credit on it
but it says EDGE on it.

im confused is it an EDGE card too or just a gift card?
(ive never seen an edge card cause i dont shop at GS often)

You have to see if there is a yellow sticker on the back of your card. I'm willing to bet that they didn't give you a free "edge" card because that's something they might have mentioned. Just so you know, I believe GS's standard gift cards (for trade-ins) all say "EDGE Card" on them regardless of whether or not they have the sticker (the important part). Sorry to burst your bubble, but I went through the same thing a while back.

When you get store credit for trade in. It goes on an "Edge" card. it's not the discount card though.

If you return something and get store credit it goes on a gift card.

If you have the "Edge/Discount" card. Your trade in credit will go on it also.

You got the extra 10% cause of their promotion right now:

Trade 3- get a extra 10%
Trade 4- get a extra 20%
Trade 5- get a extra 30%

They put the store credit on Edge cards now, it's just that they don't put a sticker on the back of the card(for discounts).

oh ok yeah i remember seeing Gamestop cards for gift cards thats why, and i was confused when he gave me the card that as EDGE all over it, theres no sticker on the back.
