King's Quest Collection (PC) $10 at Amazon

I've been interested in trying out the King's Quest series, this seems like a good place to start. Thanks Cheapy.

This version comes with DOSBox but it's an older version of DOSBox. I'd suggest installing the "King's Quest Collection DOSBox 0.70 Update (KQCollectionDB70)" on it. It's at the following page.

I'd also recommend running VDM sound on pretty much all old games, it's far more important than DOSBox and most games can run fine without DOSBox if you use VDM Sound.

Nice if you missed the Memorial Day GS/EB sale. I got both King and Space Collections for $10 each then. They never put Police Quest collection on sale though, so I had to pay $20 for that...
 
I just got mine from the GoGamer BF sale, Yay nostalgia. Totally worth, adventure games need all the support they can get.
 
I tried this collection, it sucks that on a high resolution monitor, it lookst like crap........... oh well, i guess if you want to go down memory lane, its worth it. I wish they would do a remake of all those Sierra games

There are fan-made remakes of the earliest King's Quest games that are excellent.

space quest was on gogamer.com for 10, i picked that up, and the KQ series, and the 2 .01 games they were selling.

Sierra used to rock in pc games back in the 90's!

The fan-made remakes (of I, II, and III) look graphically like King's Quest V & VI so on a high resolution LCD monitor, none of them will look particularly good.
