I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't include Blue Harvest in the next volume.

that'd be jacked up. doesn't simpsons include their hour long episodes?

I'd imagine that if they put Blue Harvest in one of the box sets, they'd have to give a cut of the profits to George Lucas...hence the individual DVD release.

interesting view on it, and i see the point. anyways, to the OP - you might have to wait until the new season is released. i find that retail stores like bestbuy and circuitcity (and target, even) usually have past seasons/specials on sale for $5-$15 off when new seasons come out. i've learned to be more patient, as sometimes buying asap doesn't pay off...

you could also wait for deepdiscount's summer sale or check out speedy's ad postings...

Simpsons has never had an hour long episode.

Anyways, the special edition isn't bad. Comes w/an XL black shirt of the cover art, some cards and other fun stuff. Shirt makes it worth it IMO. Its 48 minutes in run time so you all know.

i was wondering about the size before i bought it, but yeah, xl is 2 sizes too big for me, dammit. i guess i can just hang it up like a poster, but i agree with the special edition being a good deal with all the extra stuff.

my deal for it was that i got a $5 off any $25+ dvd purchase coupon at target while picking up some storage bins a few weeks ago. i like these random coupons at checkout (one time i got $1 off a food purchase that helped out coz i was hungry).

I want the shirt (Pic Anyone?) but also the 3-D scene would be fun. I'll have to pick it up but I'm looking for a good deal.

I got a copy of it the day it came out at my BB and from what I could tell it was the last copy of the special edition that they had. I was gonna get the regular edition but since there was only 1 special edition left I snagged it.

As far as the 3D scene though...I couldn't get it to work..maybe my eyes are messed up too much w/ my astigmatism or whatnot...I just saw everything shaded in red.....

yeah, i got seasons 1&2 box set for $15 last year, a steal! some stuff you just gotta have at release though, i understand...

really? i don't watch much, but i would've guessed some of their premieres or specials like halloween would be hour long.

I bought mine at BJ's for $20.99

I don't think the episode will be in the season set. Did they put the Stewie movie into the season set? I don't remember.

I got lucky when I bought it. I ordered for instore pick-up at best buy. When I got there they had the regular edition waiting for me, after convincing the manager that it wasn't what I ordered (the numbers were the same on both) they took the 10 dollars off for being over a minute and I got it for around $16.

The shirt is pretty much that cover on a black shirt.

Also - the Stewie movie was divided up as 2 episodes on the TV show, so it MIGHT have been released in the seasons. I'm not sure, I didn't like it.

I got it from amazon... The price isn't bad but its .10 away from free shipping... I love family guy so for $25 I figured its worth it... If you will wear/use the shirt for something, then its worth the money, as some shirts are $25 alone.
