Perfect Dark Zero - On the Original Xbox!
I sometimes forget how great this gen looks in comparison to last gen
True, but I still think about how far gaming has come in the last 10 - 15 years .... it's pretty fucking amazing if you ask me. Growing up on an Intellivision system (yeah, we never had an Atari) and owning every major console since the NES, I can truely appreciate the works of art that grace our systems today.

I know it's kind of hokey, but if someone showed me the shit we have today 15 years ago, I wouldn't have believed it would be possible.

That's got to be the most retarded way of holding an assault rifle I've ever seen (the OICW-like weapon in the second video). Other than that, the particle demo looked pretty cool.

I bet that game would have been better last generation.

On the DVD in the Bioshock LE, they mention a demo made for the original XBox. That's one video I'd love to see.
Why would you assume that?
Yeah. I mean, the rational assumption would be that it would suck on either generation.

Not necessarily true.

Conker's Bad Fur Day, for the Nintendo 64, was good for its time. Rare remaking it for the Xbox really showed how that game aged.

I, too, think the game looks like a better game on the xbox 1. Seems more tied to its roots, more Goldeneye-ish.

That being said, it also looks like a boring mod on Timesplitters.

It should've been the XBox's swan song. It would've been amazing.

..though our computers just got updated with Madden 09 on the original XBox, so it looks like there's yet one more XBox game on the way.

Glad to see they don't even stop to watch the super bowl and wait for the season to be over.

I was just checking out 360 game reviews today on Gamespot and I was shocked to see this game got a 9.0! It is terrible. Easily the worst game I've played on the 360 so far.

Live and Reloaded didn't suck just because it was on Xbox, if the base game was unchanged it could've easily been just as great as the original but with much better graphics. Unfortunately Rare decided to change all of the combat so it was much worse and all of their new jokes sucked, I assume it wasn't the same people in the company working on the remake as the original.

I don't think this is hokey at all. I believe this. 15 years ago, their were pipedreams of Virtual Reality, but that was it. First Person shooters weren't the rage yet. The first 3D games were years away.

What's fun to imagine is how gaming will be that different in 2025 or so. I remember thinking how realistic the hockey games looked on the Genesis. How great the football seemed on the Playstation. Yet, these upgraded dramatically since then. So many new genre's have popped up in the last 15, it'll be fun to see what catches on. How will motion sensing go forward? Will you literally be the star of your game by then (it's already starting in bits and pieces, between Mii's, and the music game perisphreals/dance pads. Steps need to be made, but there is time.

Also, what genre's will live, and what wil die. Who knew 15 years ago that the shooting game would all but die. Will FPS's still be around in 15 years? Who knows.
