There was a local Detroit band, I think they're in LA now, called Too Ugly for Porn that amused me to no end. Probably because I became friends with the lead singer, either way, amusing.

Blargh, I hate Lamb of God. Nothing against their music, but I was sodomized while they were on stage at Ozzfest! In fact the whole crowd was sodomized as these idiots started yanking up pieces of sod and tossing them all around everywhere at Pine Knob. I can understand moshing, but the sod crap was just stupid.
 
Sevendust's Animosity album is pure gold, and never really gets derivative. I'd say I never get tired of listening to it, in fact. They strike that balance between hard rock and melody.
