CAGiversary!
I've been meaning to post this. Bill Moyers Journal from last Friday (April 18th) used music from Resident Evil between two of it's segments. I rewound and watched again, and I'm 99% sure it really was from Resident Evil (and it sounds awesome and was well placed).
Totally awesome to have game music used at all, let alone in a serious show like that!
Meanwhile, sitcoms make Atari 2600-class beeps and bloops come from game systems whenever people are holding a controller
NES music is 100x more advanced than what these TV people usually present. (And on top of that people usually randomly hit buttons really fast in a totally unrealistic way. Drives me nuts. I love the handful of shows like House and Heroes that have done a semi-good job showing real modern games and people actually playing them right-ie House playing Metroid 4 while totally ignoring a patient "...uh...doctor?" )
