I need some advice guys:
So currently with all this talk about MGS4 and other upcoming releases for the PS3. I'm getting pretty jealous as a 360 owner. Just a few days ago I decided that I wanted to trade my 360 and games for a 40GB PS3 and made that clear on my tradelist, the 3 games I'm including are generally good titles. (Halo 3, Forza 2 and COD4.)

The only PS3 exclusive games I'm interested in so far:
Metal Gear Solid 4, Socom Confrontation, LittleBigPlanet, and Kill Zone 2. Yes I realize 3/4 of the titles are not even released.

I'm not even interested in any 360 exclusive titles. (Maybe GOW2, a little.)

And now today I just got an offer from a CAG and even another offer from a close friend. This made me really think about what I was doing here, the 360 and PS3 are really two different worlds of gaming. Is this really worth it? Please tell me your thoughts on this and what you would do.
Which games would you be getting with the PS3?
Metal Gear Solid 4, Socom Confrontation, LittleBigPlanet, and Kill Zone 2. Like my post saids 3/4 of these titles are not even released.

So your friend or the CAG is going to trade you all of those games as they come out, or you would just be buying those on your own? I'd just keep the 360 if I were you.

If you're getting the same exact offer from both, you should just go with your friend.

1) You get it instantly, no shipping or anything
2) If there's any problems you can work it out easy
3) You could always go to your friend's house and play Gears2

I don't think the PS3's got enough games on it to be an exclusive game machine. If you want it as a media machine that plays games, good call.

If you ditch the 360, you'll just be in the same boat when some 360-only stuff hits. As suggested above, keep the 360 and save up for the PS3 if the exclusives are that important to you.

I'd take the PS3. If you intend to keep your 360 then keep pumping it up with painkillers, because like Max Payne 2, death is inevitable with the 360. HAPPY GAMING.

Keep your 360. If you really want a PS3, just save your money and by the time you have enough, some of those games will be out and PS3's will probably have dropped in price.

If the exclusives on PS3 interests you more, then get a PS3. If the exclusives on 360 interests you more, than keep the 360. Most great games are multi-platform these days and most newer multi-player games aren't as different between the two platforms.

I know some who traded in their PS3 because they wanted Halo 3, and I know some who traded in their 360 because they wanted MGS4. Personally, only go for the platform the has the exclusives you want. Most are great platforms and their own set of great games.

I'd also vote for keeping the 360. Unless you really want a Blu-Ray player, I don't think that there is really a need to get a PS3 yet....when your exclusives come out, then I might consider it.

Also, you may ask yourself why you got two offers for your 360. Is it perhaps that those PS3 owners don't see the value in the system and are looking to move it for another option?

If you're really excited about MGS4, then borrow the game and console from your friend, buy a case of Mountain Dew and put it down in a weekend.

I'd say it depends more on what system your friends have. If most of your friends have 360s, then keep your 360 so you can play online with them, or if they have PS3s then make the trade. I wouldn't recommend trading a console if you're only interested in 4 games and 3 of them aren't even out yet. You can't even be sure if they'll turn out to be good, especially when it comes to Killzone.

I don't think that having a PS3 as your only console would be a bad thing though. It's got more than enough good games to entertain you.

All these folks that are saying keep the 360 and save up for a PS3 have a point, but with the 360 price drop, maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to trade and save up for another 360? of course their is the issue with your gamertag and all that, but idk id that is important to you.
