CAGiversary!
There are a shitload of great games set to come out. Some in the next few months, some are probably a good year or so off still.

For this year, here is what looks interesting:

The biggest and baddest of the bunch is now Fallout3. The game looks absolutely sick. It will be hard pressed to match the first two, but it has been so long now..Who really cares? It should be a great game on its own merits.

The greatest coop game of all time returns with Gears of War 2. Will it be more of the same? I hope to god it is. I still want more from this series, so it can get away with treading the same path as the original. Me want.

Probably like the rest of you, I yawned when I saw yet another Prince of Persia was coming. Then I paid a bit of attention to what they did with it and I fell instantly back in love. The visual style, the gameplay, the story..it is all being reset. This looks like the real sequel we have been waiting for since Sands of Time.

Brutal Legend. All I needed to know about this is that it is developed by Double Fine, who last worked on Psychonauts.

Unbelievably, Fable 2 is actually coming out as promised this fall. I enjoyed the first one for what it was and this looks to improve upon the forumla set. Hopefully it will encorporate some of the promises made from the first one that fell apart a bit.

Speaking of promises, they have been made for Mirror's Edge. Statements saying that we have never played a first person game like this before. So far, it looks like those statements are being backed up. I am excited to see for myself.

Anyone else got any?

Gears best coop game of all time.....

To add to the thread: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the game I'm looking forward to most.

I also can't wait for Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe.

Well, of course, my opinion on everything said. ;)

Not my favorite multi experience, but my favorite coop.

I am looking forward to Force Unleashed, but I haven't dug the recent gameplay videos as much. Definitely will be keeping an eye on it though.

MK vs DC..I am just not into that all. Street Fighter IV is the only fighter I am anticipating right now.

I haven't seen anything on a new LOTR game. They don't have the best track record, but I will look into it.

Left 4 Dead does sound pretty cool. I need to dig into it a bit more.

Games I'm excited about:

Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Fable 2
Fallout 3
Dead Space
Ghostbusters
Left 4 Dead
Gears of War 2
Mirror's Edge
Brutal Legend
Street Fighter IV

Games I'll probably end up picking up day 1:

Fallout 3: Simply because a) I just picked up Oblivion a couple weeks ago, and my main problem with the game is the combat. Combat in Fallout 3 looks AWESOME, so I honestly think $60 is well worth the amount of gameplay I'm gonna get out of this.

Gears of War 2: GoW was the first game I ever played on my 360, and on a 360 period, and made me appreciate the 360 controller. Loved it, loved the online play, and gonna love playing co-op with my three other friends who are picking it up day 1.

Brutal Legend: Oh, God, yes; Brutal Legend. I was enraptured by this game the first time I saw it on the cover of Game Informer: I'm a Norse mythology lover (have a Mjolnir pendant around my neck all the time), HUGE metal fan (anything from classic to heavy to gothenberg to grindcore), and I love Jack Black. Couple that with the fact I finally played Psychonauts a few months ago and loved it, and fuck yes this is a day one purchase.

Street Fighter IV: SCIV just rekindled my love of fighting games, and--considering most of my friends have had their love likewise rejuvenated--I'm picking this up the day it hits the shelves, all the better if a collector's edition is announced.

Tales of Vesperia
Infinite Undiscovery
and of course, Fallout 3(is this coming out anytime soon?)

Obviously, I like a good RPG. :)
