well would i get better then standard on that ?

also i dont know if the vga cable will work

the back of the monitor has a power cord and a cord that goes to the computer BUT its not removeable

It would work. All you need to do is buy the Xbox 360 VGA cables. It comes with a male to female adapter so you can plug in the cord that goes to your computer to the VGA cables.

Some things to keep in mind: You'll have to plug and unplug the cord from your monitor over and over to switch between your PC and 360 if you plan to keep on using your monitor with your PC which is rather inconvinient.

Also most games on the 360 now are widescreen only. So on a 4:3 monitor like yours it'll display the widescreen image in the middle of the screen and only fill up about 1/3rd of the screen with big black bars across the top and bottom. Everything's going to be pretty damn small on a 17 inch.

Annnd VGA cables are $50 so I think you're better off saving up for a TV or something or using a TV you have around the house. It's not going to look any better on the monitor unless you have a TV with just composite inputs.

they dont cost that much anymore....they can easily be found for less than $15...that monitor has a max horizontal res of 1280...much better than standard definition....
you also need a vga gender changer
it comes with the vga cable
